Sharp Electronics is a very well-known leader in manufacturing electronic gadgets. Few of its pioneer launches are mainly focused on home appliances like television sets, kitchen appliances and the like. But as time passes, we have seen the move they are doing to keep their standing as one of the leading electronic multi-corporation.

Today, we have seen the manifestation of this stance in their recently rumored SH188U smartphone. Some reports claim that the latest work of Sharp will be one of those smartphones powered by Android. Apparently, this will run with Android 2.2 Froyo.

Moreover, the smartphone is said to have the 1GHz Snapdragon processor with the Wi-fi connection and Bluetooth capabilities. This will also have the HDMI output, HD video recording and a built-in camera with 5MP.

While all of these specs and features are yet to be confirmed, we are certain that Sharp will have the launching of this new smartphone this year in United States, Europe and Asia. Obviously, we cannot give any details in its pricing and availability, but all we can say is that the smartphone is elegantly simple.

From the photos alone, it seems like it is going to have the OLED screen (Organic Light Emitting Diode), which is really good for our eyes than those LED screens in most 3D devices. Using the OLED also is more energy efficient than other screens. For this reason, I highly anticipate on this product to give a powerful performance, less strains to the eyes and efficiency in power consumption.

Users will also have access to the latest information of games provided from SCE and 3rd party developers and publishers through PlayStation®Network. The NGP( PSP2) also specs CPU Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 ,GPU SGX543MP4+ ,Display 5in OLED, resolution TBC ,Rear touch pad Capacitive multi-touch ,Sound Built-in stereo speakers, Built-in microphone ,Sensors Six-axis motion sensing system – three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer – and three-axis electronic compass, Location GPS, Wi-Fi location service support, Wireless Communications 3G, 2.4GHz 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR with A2DP, Dimensions Approx. 182 x 84 x 19mm.

The PSP2 will no longer rely on UMD but Flash memory card system that Sony claims to provide a high capacity game card. It also features near, a method for sharing game information between local users and offers an option for virtual link-up – not so very different from the 3DS’ StreetPass tech.

Sony’s live event showed up some live demo with popular games including Killzone, Resistance, Little Big Planet, and Uncharted. As for games the only once that were confirmed so far include: Gravity Daze, Little Deviants, and Reality Fighters which are the new titles. Third-party developers showed Yakuza 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 on the system, while Activision announced a new Call of Duty. The Playstation Suite platform, which will appear on mobiles as well as the NGP, is backwards compatible with PSP games and has support for PSone titles and Android based games.

If you are crazy about White color for your phone, here is the New White Color version of the highly popular Samsung I9000 Galaxy S hit the Spanish market several months back and now, right on time for Christmas, the white device is ready to start selling over at the stores across Germany.

It sports a gorgeous 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and right underneath it there is the 1GHz Hummingbird processor accompanied by 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM and 8 or 16GB storage (user expandable, thanks to the inbuilt microSD card slot).

It also features a 5MP autofocus camera with nice 720p HD video recording and all-you-can-eat connectivity options. Unlike the Gingerbread-powered Samsung-made Google Nexus S, the I9000 is still serving Froyo but there is still a chance for the Android 2.3 to come on board.

Currently, the black Galaxy S 8GB is sold for around €415, but you will have to add a little more for the white one, costs some €40 more (around €455).

Samsung Galaxy Tab Spotted in the Wild : The Samsung GalaxyTab has had its pics leaked, it’s been spotted in the wild, and now it’s 20s teaser video (below) hits the web… all in all your average thinly veiled attempt to get a little buzz going before the actual product launch which is slated for Sept 2nd in Berlin presumably at the IFA trade show.

Samsung’s upcoming iPad killer, the Galaxy Tab, for awhile now. Here’s what we know: the device is slated to come in both a 7-inch and 10-inch form factor, and it’ll essentially be a big version of their Galaxy S smartphone. We’ve also heard rumor that the specs are bound to disappoint, specifically when it comes to the display running at a measly 800 x 480 resolution.

Spotted by an Electronista contributor, who proceeded to interrogate the man in an awkward conversation (captured via the wonders of a camera phone), the 7-inch version of the tablet was described as ‘awesome’ and ‘different’ by the tester.

The video ends with the Tab’s owner suddenly clamming up and realizing he’s said too much. “I can’t talk about it,” he insists. I’m guessing he’ll wish he’d taken his own advice once his bosses hear about this leak.

The details on the Galaxy Tab are thin, but here’s what we know thus far. The Tab will run on Android 2.2 and feature full Web-browsing and video calling. The short clip also implied that the Galaxy Tab will sport an HD screen for video, Flash support, support for e-books, possible GPS navigation, and PC linking. The few shots of the screen’s keyboard look promising, as do the brief flashes of the built-in apps. The device itself is black, with a few buttons below the touch display and the Samsung logo up top. There’s no word on pricing yet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab – Rumours and Official Video : The Official Announcement will held on 2nd Sept 11:00 at Samsung Media Conference at IFA 2010,Berlin.

Earlier this year Samsung unveiled plans for an Android-based Galaxy tablet PC to launch by the end of the year. New details are emerging now, and it appears that Samsung may launch a 7-inch Android tablet based on its new Galaxy S line of phones, in a few weeks at the IFA 2010 consumer electronics show in Berlin.

Meanwhile, speculation builds that Apple will also release a 7-inch version of the iPad at a September event. The device itself is black, with a few buttons below the touch display and the Samsung logo up top. There’s no word on pricing yet.

The tablet, which may be called the P1000 Galaxy Tab, is reported to have a front-facing camera for video calls, something lacking in Apple’s iPad, but available on the iPhone 4. It’s not yet clear whether the Samsung tablet will go on sale first in Europe, when it will be available in the United States, and what its cost will be.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Android Tablet Ready to Launch in September : Earlier this year Samsung unveiled plans for an Android-based Galaxy tablet PC to launch by the end of the year.

It’s not yet clear whether the Samsung tablet will go on sale first in Europe, when it will be available in the United States, and what its cost will be.

The team at Samsung Firmware have gotten their hands on a firmware update which confirms some of the early predictions, and reveals more details about the upcoming tablet. According to Samsung Firmware, the Galaxy Tab will run Android 2.2, and it does have an ARM processor, but it is supposedly the slower and less powerful processor found in its Galaxy S smartphone siblings.

The leak also says that the device is lighter, constructed from lightweight plastic. The 7-inch display will have a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There’s also the 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G support, and built-in eBook application.

The Dell Streak has only just been released, but we have a full preview of Dell’s next big smartphone set to hit the market. It is called the Dell Thunder and Engadget has managed to obtain a couple of prototype devices before release.

A pre-release hands-on with the upcoming Dell Thunder has uncovered some unique details beyond what’s already been known. Engadget notes that the two prototypes it has both have unusual curved glass screens. The result is “gorgeous” and also has a unique effect that distorts the picture at extreme angles.

Over on their website, they have given us an early review of the device, since it is not expected to release until sometime next year. As with the Dell Streak, the Thunder is another Android device, and is set to ship with Android 2.1, although this could be upgraded to 2.2 closer to release.

The device should sport a 4.1 inch OLED display, 1GHz CPU, an 8 megapixel camera, as well as a Hulu app to boot. While the specs aren’t confirmed, any changes that happen to the Thunder will likely be for the better. The sides of the device are adored with curved chrome, which may be a bit iPhone-like.

Network support is also a surprise. The testing code appears to support use on all North American and major international GSM frequencies. The second of the two phones makes mention of Qualcomm CDMA and also makes references to AWS, though it has yet to be clarified if these are separate references to Sprint/Verizon (CDMA) and T-Mobile (GSM) phones or to possible phones on CDMA carriers like Cricket that also use the AWS band.

The prototypes are also running stock Android 1.6, but we suspect the device will ship with Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed, seeing as how it is suspected to come with Flash 10.1 support. The UI on the Streak, dubbed the Stage UI, is not over-done, so it won’t be a completely different experience if you’re coming from stock Android.

Based on the last available roadmap, Dell would ship the Thunder to AT&T sometime in the fall.

Shuttle has launched the XS35 Slim PC small form factor PC into major retailers in North America.

Shuttle may have delayed the launch in order to make some design modifications, but seems to have made up for this by releasing, in the US, three models instead of just one.

Available in three configurations, the new XS35 is only 1.5 inches thick and features a passively cooled fanless design. The entry “Made for Everyday” model is based on an Intel Atom D510 CPU and Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and an optional optical drive.

Meanwhile, media users also get Atom D510 CPU and GMA 3150 graphics card, but 2GB RAM, a slim DVD burner, and a 320GB hard drive for their buck.

The Shuttle X35 GT “Made for HD” adds a Blu-ray drive and Nvidia ION graphics with 1080p HDMI output.

The three options are ready to ship from retailers in both the US and Canada. They cost a very tempting $240 for the basic model, $280 for the media configuration, and $380 for the XS35 GT.
Samsung may launch a 7-inch Android tablet based on its new Galaxy S line of phones, in a few weeks at the IFA 2010 consumer electronics show in Berlin.

The Samsung Galaxy Tablet was first revealed to the public sometime ago by a Samsung South Africa PR rep – and since then we’ve heard various rumors about the tablet and seen some sightings of it, allegedly. However, no news about the tablet actually coming out, however.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 is expected to arrive with a 7-inch Super-AMOLED screen, powered by a 1.2-GHz-Cortex A8-Prozessor, running Android 2.2, dual cameras, and support for 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The Samsung tablet would also support Adobe Flash, which is used to watch Web videos and animations. Apple has resisted using Flash for the iPad and iPhone, citing issues with battery drain, security and stability.
