How to update Sky3ds+ card to firmware V140 on Nintendo 3DS/NEW 3DS?
Just like you update Sky3ds+ firmware to old version in the old days, if you want to upgrade sky3ds+ to the latest v140, you can follow this simple and short guide here.
1. Download and extract the zip file on a PC, copy the “firmware.bin” file into the root directory of your microSD card.
2. Insert the microSD card into sky3DS+, connect your PC and sky3DS+ with a USB cable(come with).
3. The LED red light will turn on about 5 seconds, then turn to the green light and keep flashing around 5 seconds, once the light turn off it means the sky3DS+ has been updated successfully.
Alert: Never unplug the USB cable while the green light keep flashing, it might damage your sky3DS+ card! 4. Delete the “firmware.bin” file in your microSD card.
How to solve Sky3ds+ V140 some gams not showing when play 3DS/2DS games?
Firstly, you should know there is no 2DS game. There are only NDS games and 3DS games for either DS or 3DS family consoles. So if you put NDS game into Sky3ds+ card, the game can’t be read but if you drag .3ds files to sky3ds+, you still can’t see the game icon, then you should follow this method to solve it.
What’s the problem?
Update Sky3ds+ firmware V112 to 140, and all previous games are working fine (the newest game release was FE Fates). However, when tried uploading 2 newer games onto my SD card, only to find that they can’t be read – when you press the “next” button on the sky3DS+, it just stays at the current game, and you need to “triple press” the “next” button to skip past the 2 newer games to continue cycling through my games.
How to solve it?
It’s because the firmware created a junk save file on the SD card when it scanned the ROM. If you stick the SD card back in your computer the .sav files should be 0kb in Explorer. You can manage to fix it (somehow) by deleting the junk saves, settings.txt, and cfg files.
