And as if that’s not enough, animals like dogs are allowed to roam the areas, thus if you’re the one biking though, you may really have to watch out for them if you don’t want tumbling over them.

Three, the route is made more treacherous by narrowing the course to areas where the bikers would need to go over wooden tramps that have been poorly built. How poor is poorly built?

Some are just thinner than the usual 2 by 2 inches thick planks, and they are simply built manually using nails and hammers.

No precautions for thicker wooden ramp foundations are done.

What more, they are positioned in places where the bikers would to take off from streets with higher altitudes and land on narrow corners of the streets with lower altitudes than the take off points. This is of course tricky as the route becomes very tricky and unpredictable.

And as if people couldn’t care less about your safety when you bike through them, they happily wave their hands in front of your face as you fly by, obscuring your view of the route.

To help make our environment green, it will start with a clean and efficient engine. One of the top automotive manufacturers, Mazda is one of the most admirable companies in the world as its main concern is not only to produce quality cars, but most of all a car which does not contribute to the degradation of the environment.

To prove their cause, they are now working with their latest Skyactiv-G 1.3” engine that runs equivalently to 70mpg.

Apparently, the engine of this Demio car includes a 1.3 liter direct injection mill, variable transmission and a 30km per liter stop-start tech.

Its compression ratio was raised to 14:1 and revised pistons, other mods, multi-hole fuel injectors were installed to achieve higher efficiency and a more précised and improved combustion.

Add to that, the engine pumps out 83 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 84-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm.

This is so cool, but we won’t be seeing this newest gasoline and diesel engines of Mazda in North America. However, the Skyactiv 2.0-liter version is expected for the next CX-5.

So far, the Mazda’s work on electric hybrid cars is commendable although it’s quite way behind than the 2011 Nissan Leaf which mpg equivalent is 99, still Mazda is doing well in producing environmentally friendly cars.

When I was a kid, I used to hear older people saying that boys will always be boys.

I never had any idea what’s that supposed to mean, until I heard about Casey Putsch’s ultimate turbine-powered batmobile.

And you heard it right, a “batmobile” exactly the car that batman has in the 1989 sci-fi movie. Putsch actually revived his childhood fantasies into reality.

Recently, at ToddCopperrider.com a post about cars features Casey Putsch’s Batmobile of which claimed to be the only turbine-powered bat car in the world.

Unthinkably, this car is not ordinary because its engine is actually a military Boeing turboshaft helicopter engine that I assume to provide the swiftest, cleanest and the most efficient power drive.

Specifically, this batmobile has 139′ wheelbase in 20 ft long, 7 feet, 5 inches wide with an estimated weight of 2800 lbs (w/o driver).

It has a monocoque chassis in a steel tube frame with a fully independent cockpit-adjustable pneumatic suspension, limited slip differential and disc brakes.

It also has the a sliding canopy with and on board fire suppression system which is a good measure of security.

Aside from that, this is also really a techy car that is operated with an I-Pad for reverse digital avionics system, 4 speed sequential shift and semi-automatic transmission.

At present, this car is registered and insured for the road in the US of which everyone can drive in its very basic operation.

However, one thing that interests me most is the fast-turbo speed of this car. I want to see this Batmobile actually running in its ultimate speed. This is so cool!

Although I’m not a fan of batman, I admire Casey Putsch for his ingenuity in this car.

Even though there is no official yet about the specs, features, neither price nor the release date of this phone, many leaked information have already been broken by different sources.

This detail was unveiled by the online retailer, Amazon.com.

However, the EDWARD that we are going to introduce to you are from the field of mechanical engineering, which stands for Electric Diwheel With Active Rotation Damping.

With this Diwheel, I have seen how Star Wars Movies have penetrated into the minds of its avid fans. Well, it may not be typical to drive a Diwheel on the road, but once you check on this latest EDWARD project your previous impressions regarding this vehicle will be changed.

As I have already mentioned, EDWARD has taken our Star Wars fantasy into reality. This project is one year in the making. This is a project done by a team of mechanical engineering students of The University of Adelaide. Impressively, there is only one rose among the thorns in the team of EDWARD project. This amazing vehicle has already done exhibits on several national EV expos in 2010.

While this may not be our very first time to see a Diwheel, it is different from the previous Diwheels because it is powered purely by electricity. It features a top speed of 40km/hr with a maximum incline of up to 12 degrees. Its braking deceleration is 0.2G. This prevents tumbling in sudden braking. You can drive it all away for an hour as it only has a 1-hour battery life.

Who says that cars are only for boys? With the Volkswagen Aqua Hovercraft, I insist that boys share the same passion with the girls in car designing.

Recently, news sprouted about the Volkswagen Aqua Hovercraft. This latest design is conceptualized by Zhang Yuhan, a former Graduate Research Assistant at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Presently, this Chinese lady who was a graduate of B.S. Mathematics at Peking University is an Associate at Morgan Stanley Company in New York.

Her concept of making the Aqua Hovercraft is basically tailored to the off road vehicle of Volkswagen in China. The designed car features hydrogen fuel-cell motor and an impeller. The combination of these two components makes the Volkswagen Aqua Hovercraft a fusion of a futuristic and a multipurpose vehicle for today. The utilization of hydrogen in its motor emits no air pollutants that mark this car as one of the green hybrid cars, while the impeller was designed to force high air pressure under the chases of the car that keeps it going in no matter type of terrain.

Moreover, what makes VW Aqua Hovercraft exciting can’t only be defined in its internal parts, but also with its external design. At a first glance, I would never think it was designed by a woman. The unique definiteness and accurate features of Volkswagen Design are well-interpreted in this car by Zhang Yuhan.

Lastly, Zhang Yuhan’s design of Aqua Hovercraft appeared as a finalist at the CDN Car Design Awards in China. The event was hosted by Chris Bangle, the former BMW designer and automotive expert.
