They are focused on broadband cable, commerce, and content. Comcast also delivers digital services, provide faster Internet and clearer broadband phone service, and develop and deliver innovative programming.

The issue that I am having is that when I try to log into my mail account it asks for username/password then when I type them in sometimes I get in, sometimes I get the error message “LOGIN FAILED”. If I’m lucky enough to get past that page while attempting to move around in my emails, it will eventually give me the LOGIN FAILED message again. (Even when I click “remember password”.)

I’ve talked to many technicians about this issue and they’ve changed my password, reset passwords, etc. to no avail. I’ve cleaned out cookies too with no success. I’ve even made a new email account under the old one to see if that would do the same thing…. and of course it does. It happens not only on my end, but on the Comcast end too. They’ve accessed my account and when they move around, they are having the same issues. Outlook Express can’t even download my emails because of the login error it receives when attempting to get the emails.

In VMware annual conference VMworld in San Francisco, Paul Maritz, a former high-level executive at Microsoft and now chief executive officer of VMware, said virtualization software will displace the operating system.

VMware and Verizon already unveiled a new enterprise-class hybrid cloud solution that is expected to move their applications to the cloud quicker and more seamlessly, without compromising security or performance.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company makes virtualization software, which helps companies manage servers in data centers. Rather than having each piece of hardware chew on a single application, virtualization software makes it possible to run applications across multiple servers, or to run multiple applications on a single server. If you’re confused, just think of the movie “Inception” and think of a server as a dream.

With the new service, in trials now and due for general availability early next year, enterprises that use VMware will be able to shift workloads out to Verizon’s CaaS (Computing as a Service) infrastructure and back again, the companies said. This could help organizations ease their way into cloud computing or take advantage of greater computing resources when necessary.

The new service, which Verizon is simply calling “CaaS enabled by VMware vCloud Datacenter,” was announced Tuesday at VMworld in San Francisco and is based on two VMware products that also were announced Tuesday. VMware’s vCloud Director is a new cloud management tool primarily designed to help administrators move workloads between private and public clouds. Its vShield is software for maintaining security and compliance policies, such as rule-based access controls, as those workloads are moved. Both are available now.

Enterprises will be able to reach the service over Verizon’s private MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) wide-area network service, called Private IP, or over a Verizon public IP data service. The carrier has not yet determined the price of the new CaaS service, but it will have two pricing models. One will be a “pay-as-you-go” plan, in which customers pay only for the computing power they use. The other will involve volume commitments ahead of time, with the opportunity for volume discounts.

Huawei did not lose any technological field to compete with large companies is that their last contribution was a mobile WiFi router, the Huawei E583C, a router with all the features you need to navigate safely from your mobile.

The wonder of this WiFi router is the ability to convert a signal 3.5G wireless laptop that will have the ability to connect up to five devices simultaneously via WiFi and up to 6 if the sixth is connected via a USB cable to the router Huawei E583C, such as a laptop.

For more comfortable you know if the operation is correct E583C Huawei only have to look at all the information on your screen OLED displays.

Although I have to emphasize that what I like about this router is its design, classic, elegant and with a cool touch that makes it more fun by bringing cash finishes. Unfortunately we still can not get in Europe but I assure you that if successful will soon be hanging around here.

The E583C will be available from August, and sold through digital equipment retail stores and retail outlets at major computer shopping malls in Hong Kong. The suggested retail prices of the two device is HK$1,380(Check out new prices and buy it from Amazon).

Data center and cloud infrastructure service provider Rackspace is expected to announce Monday the release of a new open-source offering that will allow users to build and launch their own internal and hosted clouds. OpenStack, which was announced Monday, will include the code behind Rackspace’s Cloud Files and Cloud Servers technology. NASA is also involved, contributing software that runs its own Nebula cloud platform.

NASA’s Nebula infrastructure cloud is installed installed at NASA’s Ames Research Center and is in the process of being and extended to the Goddard Spaceflight Center outside of Washington, DC. The Nebula cloud was spearheaded by Chris Kemp, who is now NASA’s chief technology officer, and in an interview with El Reg, Kemp had nice things to say about the Eucalyptus cloud fabric controller that Nebula was currently using, which is an open source clone of Amazon’s EC2 compute cloud and S3 storage cloud.

Open-sourcing Rackspace’s code will increase the rate of innovation around it, and eliminate lock-in fears among clients, which is one of the biggest obstacles to the adoption of cloud services, said Mark Collier, vice president of business development. “If we’re accelerating the industry, that’s good for us,” he said.

OpenStack will be available under the Apache 2.0 license, with RackSpace employees serving as project leads, Collier said. But the governance framework has been deliberately structured to give others plenty of say, he added. There is an opportunity for open-source cloud infrastructure to become as ubiquitous as the Apache Web server. This project could provide a huge leap forward in opening up the clouds.

Netgear has always had a keen focus on network security for smaller businesses and its ProSecure UTM range of appliances delivers plug-and-play protection at a low price.

The appliances provide the full gamut of security services and include an SPI firewall, IPS, anti-virus, anti-spam, URL category filtering, IM and P2P controls – plus support for IPsec and SSL VPNs. The top-of-the-range UTM25 on review also provides dual WAN ports for failover.

The UTM25 offers four Gigabit LAN ports, with the fourth also providing DMZ duties if required. The web interface is basic but intuitive and offers a quick-start wizard to help with LAN, WAN and security services configuration. You can add up to 800 of your own custom rules and apply QoS and bandwidth restriction profiles.

AV scanning can be applied to SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols and all signature and database updates are automated, with checks as often as every 15 minutes. Along with HTTP and FTP traffic, the appliance also scans HTTPS as standard, making the UTM25 even better value. For the price, Netgear is offering small businesses a bumper bundle of essential network security services. The UTM25 is very simple to install, offers a powerful partnership of AV, anti-spam and web filtering and delivers in the performance stakes.
