Samsung Galaxy Tab Hands-on Review with Video

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Tab at the IFA electronics show in Berlin. Here’s a look at what the Android-powered tablet has to offer: portability, responsiveness, performance, a nice screen–but several rough patches as well.

In the device, there is a 1GHz chip Cortex A8, a 30-pin connector owner, a card slot micro SD and flexible connectivity. 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA and HSDPA 5.6 Mbps. Side memory, the Tab includes 16 or 32GB.

The Galaxy Tab is screen is of 7 inches, 380g, with a screen resolution of 1024 by 600, “as on a PC, there is no need to zoom. “One way to say it’s is not multicast, so it is best to avoid zooming with gestures as we begin to have the habit? The Samsung GALAXY Tab will be launched in Europe in mid September, and in other markets including Korea, the US and Asia in coming months. This means US consumers will not see the Galaxy Tab most likely in 2010. Apparently Samsung is focusing on a carrier play with the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Samsung Epic 4G (Sprint) Review and Best-Buy

The Samsung Epic 4G is the second phone from Sprint with 4G service, the original being the EVO 4G. The Epic 4G is part of Samsung’s Galaxy S line of Android smartphones, although visually it’s a departure from others like the Samsung Captivate, Fascinate, and Vibrant from other carriers.

The Epic 4G has a large 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display that provides brighter, thinner, and higher-resolution than traditional screens. Samsung’s innovative display technology makes watching movies, viewing videos and playing games come to life like never before, even in bright light and outdoor environments. And messaging is simple and easy with the Epic 4G’s side-sliding full QWERTY keyboard as well as the included virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, which allows you to input text faster and in a more intuitive way with one continuous finger motion across the screen keyboard.

Rounding out the specs, you’ve got Android 2.1 Eclair with TouchWiz 3.0, 512MB RAM, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p video capture and LED flash, front-facing VGA camera, and a micro-SD card slot to up the amount of storage space, adding up to an additional 32GB.

The forward-facing VGA camera makes it easy to have video calls using the two-way voice and video service from Qik (upgraded account service required), while the 5-megapixel camera on the back also offers HD video recording (720p) for playback on your HDTV.

With built-in mobile hotspot functionality, the Epic 4G also allows up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices–including laptop, camera, music player, video player and any other Wi-Fi-enabled device–to enjoy the benefits of 4G speeds on the go. Other features include music downloads from the Amazon MP3 Store, microSD memory expansion (16 GB card included; optional 32 GB cards supported), HDMI audio/video output, and up to 6 hours of battery life.

Sprint added a few goodies to Epic’s App mix, including Sprint TV, the carrier’s NFL and NASCAR apps, and Qik video chatting/streaming. Qik works quite well for two-way video chatting via Epic’s front facing camera; it’s not as slick as Apple’s FaceTime system, but it works with many more devices. Epic 4G also comes with Swype, which is fast catching on as a “better than typing” text input solution for touchscreens, because you won’t always want to deploy the hard QWERTY board to fire off a TXT. Oh, and while Epic’s YouTube app lacks the giant “HQ” button found on other recent Android devices, high quality YT viewing is accessible via the app’s Menu -> More settings. Ah, the joys of Android fragmentation!

Let’s touch on a couple of the other standout features of the Epic 4G for a moment. If you happen to live in a 4G-enabled area, the device becomes even better. You see, you can use 4G data with no cap, and you can use the Epic 4G as a 4G modem, connecting up to five other devices. The negative there is that you’ll be using up that battery, and 4G is power hungry. However, if you’re in a stationary spot like a cafe, just plug your phone in, and you are offering 4G access to five other devices in no time.

Sprint Started to sell its Galaxy S model Epic 4G on Aug. 31 for $249 after a $100 mail-in rebate. A Sprint spokesman spoke both vaguely and positively about the first-day sales of the company’s second 4G-friendly phone.

The smartphone comes with a 1 GHz processor, a QWERTY keyboard with spaced out keys, in addition to a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera as well as HD video capture. Samsung Epic 4G(Sprint) Launching on Tomorrow at 8am

Its confirmed that Samsung Epic 4G will go on sale bright and early tomorrow morning at a Sprint store near you. A mass email was blasted out, saying that Sprint stores will be opening at 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday to start selling the Epic 4G.

This will not please those who have already pre-ordered the device, which started a few weeks ago now. The online store giant is offering the Epic 4G for just $199.99 for a two-year contract. That is not only cheaper than Sprint, but Best Buy as well.

Samsung Fascinate(Verizon) To Launch on September 8(not 9), Pre-Orders Started at at Best Buy

The highly anticipated Android-powered Samsung Fascinate, part of the Samsung Galaxy S series — will be launched next week on Wednesday, September 8. Rumor previously had it that Verizon Wireless would actually make the device available on Thursday, September 9. Either way, it seems that we will definitely see the Samsung Fascinate make its big debut next week for sure.

The Samsung Fascinate will also be available for pre-order at Best Buy starting from Aug. 29, the store announced Thursday.

Those who are members of the Best Buy Reward Zone, meanwhile, can reserve the new Verizon smartphone on Aug. 27. Pre-orders will be accepted at Best Buy stores and Best Buy Mobile standalone stores.

The Android-based phone includes a 4-inch, 854-by-480 Super AMOLED touchscreen. It will include a 1-GHz processor running the Android 2.1 operating system. The Fascinate’s software is a mix of Samsung, Google, and Verizon contributions. The home screen features Bing and Bing Maps, and the Fascinate will come with a Blockbuster app.

Bose In-Ear Headphone(IE2) and MIE2, MIE2i Headsets – Best Buy

Three new headphones from Bose today available in the market, The IE2 works with any device, while the MIE2 and MIE2i mobile headsets are meant for music-enabled mobile phones. Each of the models has Bose StayHear tips for improved stability and comfort. Also, each is built for durability and comes with a carrying case.

None of these models are noise-canceling or noise-isolating. While the IE2 headphones don’t feature an in-line microphone for receiving cell-phone calls, both the MIE2 and the MIE2i do. The latter have been designed for Apple mobile products, including the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and MacBook Pro, and incorporate an in-line remote. HTC Droid Incredible Froyo(Android 2.2) Update to Hits Vodafone Today

HTC Droid Incredible Froyo(Android 2.2) Update to Hits Vodafone Today : After expecting Verizon to roll out the Android 2.2 Froyo update to the HTC Droid Incredible on September 1st, and then having the date retracted from the source all together, we were beginning to lose hope that the Incredible would get some Froyo love anytime soon. Well, this time we have a leaked document from Verizon saying that the roll out for the device will begin today, August 27th.

As usual a roll out comes gradually, so it could very well take a couple of more days to hit your handset. OTA updates are pushed in batches, so worry not if your Incredible hasn’t been Froyo’d tomorrow. From the looks of the document, we were dead on with the new features for the Incredible, and you should expect to see 720p HD video recording, and a 3G Mobile Hotspot option that will allow you to share your connection with 5 other devices. Too bad the poor thing will probably die within the first hour with the Mobile Hotspot draining the battery of its life-giving juice.

Earlier in last month, we’ve updated our readers about the Android 2.2 Froyo update to roll out in August for HTC Desire where as other HTC Smartphones HTC DROID Incredible, HTC Evo 4G will get Android 2.2 Froyo at later stages. Few HTC Desire users downloaded the unofficial Android 2.2 Froyo in last month from XDA-Developers in last month it self.

Fortunately, Flash 10.1 support, automatic application updating, and all of the other great features you’d come to expect from Froyo will be present in this upcoming HTC Incredible Android 2.2 update. Expect an overall snappier experience, thanks to the JIT compiler, and a much faster browsing experience with the updates Android web browser, courtesy of the new JavaScript V8 Engine.

Verizon Samsung Fascinate To Launch on September 9, Pre-Orders Start Aug. 29 at Best Buy : The Samsung Fascinate for Verizon has been missing in action for quite a while. Now comes word via a leaked Verizon sales screenshot that a September 9th launch date is in the cards with the device shipping on September 6th. The product launch information is effective August 24th, so this is fresh information on the Fascinate.
