There is a new king in the market. As of 7in tablet is concerned the Samsung Galaxy Tab is getting old as the king in the world of 7in tablet. It is time to get a new king and replace the ageing Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0. The new Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the new reigning 7in tablet king.

In the large tablet market the iPad is still reigning although Android is throwing up challengers such as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Motorola Xoom, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and others are failed to challenge the iPad. But in the world of 7in tablet, the Android has a match to the 7in Apple products. The new Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the smaller version of its 9-10in Tab. It is more convenient and in terms of portability it is more portable than the iPad or any 10in Android tablet. This design has compromise the portability of a smartphone and a big screen of a large tablet. At Acer Iconia Tab A100 you can see your website at a full width (from 1,024 to 1,280 pixel screen width).

In the 7in tablet, it is a great opportunity to Acer Iconia Tab A100 to claim the crown as the reigning 7in tablet. This is a smaller version of Acer Iconia A500 one of the most praised tablet this year by the reviewers. Acer Iconia A100 is the first 7in tablet to run Android Honeycomb 3.2. It is the first version of Android designed for smaller tablets. It includes SD card support for mobile apps. The A100 is 13.1mm thick and weighs 410 grams but the power and functionality is superb.

If you want to stand out in the crowd, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the best 7in tablet for you. As others describe Acer Iconia Tab A100 as a state of the art in 7in tablet, in which I agree. The Android OS is the same to the bigger tablets. The functions of the bigger tablets are still the same to Acer Iconia Tab A100. If you want to have easy to carry gadget, then Acer Iconia Tab A100 is good for you.

Demands for computer devices dictate that what are highly valued these days are those that are thin, portable and touch types. This market change emphasizes the possibility that the production of notebooks and laptops might just soon die out, especially with the notebooks, since the selling point of the said devices are actually their portability. Should these scare sole notebook producers? Considering that there are still some people out there who prefer the use of keyboards than touch pad then the emergence of touch type devices is not something that should scare them. Apple’s iPad tablets for example have certainly taken control over the market with other hardware companies trying to introduce other tablets so they can have a piece of the pie but some consumers do not really consider these devices as that appealing as they may have difficulty using them thus they prefer notebooks and netbooks. However, the coming out of sliders can actually be just the reason that might push out the demands for notebooks in the technology market.

The latest slider device from ASUS, which is the newest device in review, and other similar devices may eventually replace the notebook demands, simply because the advantage notebooks have over touch type tablets are their keyboards. The latest hardware review from HotHardware has given ASUS Eee Pad Slider a hot review and good mark, calling the device a very good radical innovation, just right with its touch technology and keyboard. Eee Sliders with their 1GB memory, 16GB/32GB storage, mixed software of Android 3.2, MyNet, Android Market, Polaris Office, Kindle Books, Zinio Magazine, Google Maps and Gmail, built in front and rear camera, microphone and stereo speakers, are certainly devices of great usability. Another plus factor is the idea that these sliders can run on batteries for 8 hours. They are just 273 x 180.3 x 17.3~18.3mm in dimensions. The price range however falls within $479 to $579. This may seem a little costly but with the functions that sliders offer their users, this price might just be small to pay.

Considering all these qualities then in sliders alone, how will the netbook technology fare in the next seasons? There might be no wonders why they might not be missed at all.

HP and Dell are one of the most leading computing in the world. They are very prestigious in terms of design and specs. They competed also to other tech companies. HP and Dell are also competing, but they are behind because they don’t have ultrabooks yet. Yet? Yes yet. We got a leakage that HP and Dell has been designing an ultrabook for next year launching, this is not a surprise because as what we’ve said they are competing for its market.

Ultrabooks are the most awaiting computing device that will soon in the market. Although it was not introduced formally the HP and Dell’s model of Ultrabooks were in the internet already. HP and Dell are creating ultra-portable laptops by next year. The HP design of ultra book is an original design of Quanta Computer readying production. The Dell ultra book is being designed by Wistron. We expect that by next year the Ultrabooks will replace the laptops and notebooks in the market.

By nature the ultrabooks are design against Apple. Ultrabooks or the portable notebooks are thin and have a powerful processor. We still don’t have an update for AppleMacBook Air, but I think they are not alarmed for the launching of UltraBooks. Will Apple get alarmed if HP and Dell will introduce their ultrabooks next year? Who knows?

In the leakage, the specifications of ultrabook devices are inadequate, because it is just only a leakage. However the designs spec is clearer. The Ultrabook slimness is like Apple cases. The processor is very powerful and of course a very remarkable battery life and USB 3.0 connectivity. This is the answer to Apple’s MacBook Air. Will these manufacturers able to prove that their ultrabooks are cool than Apple’s MacBook? Let’s see and wait.

ASUS, Toshiba, Lenovo and Acer have their ultrabooks in the market and these three are the first manufacturer of UltraBook. The UltraBook of these three manufacturers are very impressive. This is the reason why HP and Dell are expected to launch there ultrabook by next year. The delay of launching of HP and Dell to their ultrabook is because they are waiting for the Intel’s Cedar trail processor. The expectation price of their UltraBook is $1000 (USD).

Are you an avid fan of the ultra-thin laptops? If so, you might like this information that we got from Dell’s new parade of laptops.

We have known for years that Dell among its competitors is regarded as one of the best names in the world of laptops. Well, this is not surprising because Dell indeed carries the very good reputation in delivering the most functional, powerful and beautiful laptops. Although, they have been entering into the competition of producing the slimmest laptops, it seems like they are way beyond its competitors. Due to this set back, they figure out that reducing the price while maintaining the quality of the product might be the key to thrive. That’s why they produce the Dell XPS 15z. After all the hard work, we can commend Dell for their effort in producing their most beautiful laptop of the decade.
Recently, Dell made a statement about their latest super thin laptop which measures 15.6 inches and weighs 5.54 pounds. Its body is built with hardcore metals such as aluminum and magnesium alloy. It also contains silicon inside. On the other hand, its interior features the Dual Core i7 processor, GeForce GT525M GPU, 8-cell battery and DVD drive that configures faster video options and a Blu-ray drive with 1080p screen. All of these features come up into one laptop that only costs $999.

With this in mind, we can say that Dell really is still in the competition of creating thin laptops, but I do decline in the heavy use of metals for the laptop. I will be more impress if they can modify this model into a more environmentally friendly thin laptop.

Microsoft has built a new version of windows, “Windows 8”. Windows 8 has so many options especially on screens. It is a jointed desktop, laptop and tablet operating system. It is premeditated from tablets to big screens and from netbooks to business desktops and gaming system. The programming model especially the apps of Windows 8 features gesticulations to put two apps on screen side by side unlike to the traditional Windows desktop that we have been using.

The question is how well does it work? There is no more Start up menu in Windows 8. It replaces Windows 7 Start Menu with Lock Screen and Start Screen. However isn’t it unquestionable that Windows 8 is just copying the operating system of the phone?

There is always a border, in Windows 8 Lock Screen you can modify, see the image and give particular information to the unread messages. There are lot of apps in the new version of Microsoft’s Windows 8 and all of them are new and surprising.

And here’s more, you can actually group the tiles together. It is up to you whether you will single or double the width. You can also move the tile from its location by simply dragging it. The idea of this is to make your life easier, especially if you want to organize your files in accordance to your work. When you touch the image it will zoom automatically.

Windows 8 can also use Aero Snap to organize two windows. Simply tap your desktop to open and snap view the thumbnails. In addition to that you can also open two apps in one monitor or tablet. Although it can perform two apps you can easily switch the metro apps to desktop apps, back to back.

It’s immense to have a new version of Windows; it’s also a logical place for directives such as Restart that used to be on the Start menu but placed on the Start Screen. You can also organize your control panel on the Start Screen.
In Windows 8 no more Start menu it will set off the Start Screen once it is opened. Expect more in the new version of Microsoft because it is totally different from the previous versions of Microsoft Windows.

End of Multiple monitors, all you need is Windows 8 to keep your feet on the ground. Because it is more organized and will organize your desktops, simple presentation of the power of Windows 8.

One very common problem for gamers and big businessmen who usually do the the hardcore over-clocking to their laptops and PCs, is the risk of overheating. This problem is severely annoying because your device can’t help you do your work efficiently. The worse thing is that your most valuable device will become useless, as it shuts down frequently that causes trouble to your work. For this reason, we have a list of tips that will help you cool down your overheating laptop.

Tips To Cool Down Your Overheating Laptop:

1.	Compressed air- Sometimes the problem of overheating may trace from dusty air vents that causes the coolness to be trapped. The solution for better and effective dust cleaning, you may use a can of compressed air. But due to environmental concerns, you may use a vacuum cleaner as an alternative. To ward off the dust from blowing all over your room, it is best to do the cleaning outside and always cover you nose and mouth to avoid inhaling the dust.

2.	Cooling fans- Check your cooling fans if they are still in good working condition. If not, you have to replace them immediately. Apparently, online shops and retailers like the Amazon have stocks of cooling fans which prices ranges the cheapest $2.50 to the most expensive $19.31

3.	Heat sink compound- If there are no problems with the cooling fans, then you may apply some heat sink compound or fresh thermal grease. You can buy those affordable paste which costs lower than $5.

4.	Laptop cooler- This is the most expensive solution for an overheating laptop. At dabs.com, you may purchase good quality laptop cooler for about 30 EUR or less. However, if the overheating still continues you have to make your laptop be repaired.

In all of these, the most important tip and reminder is to always make a back-up of your working files, so that you can still continue your task to other devices, in case your laptop needs an overhauling repair.

It’s not rare to see prices cut off in notebook sales but nothing like a buy one take one where the items are for sale for half prices. This big sale from Harvey Norman seems to be a good idea, considering that the store is selling notebooks powered by AMD processors at a technically 50% discount because you can get the other one for free.

Among the good deals you’ll find in the sale is the11.6 inches HP ultraportable that sells for a low price of $698. This can be a great deal because the HP ultraportable has a higher computing power and much better specs. Another great buy is the HP Pavilion dv6-6102AX, a 15.6 inch notebook with the good graphics card of Radeon HD 6750M and nice looking specs with the 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard dsik and Blu-ray player. This HP RRP design can be availed for $1, 598 which means the original buy and the free item really just sells for $799 each.

Although the two notebook designs on sale are definitely huge cuts, the rest of the Harvey store discounted items are not that much of a good deal. To sell great devices together is not really part of a well designed sales plan. The idea when having a sale is that not all items should prove to be beneficial to the customers. Most items on sale are usually those that the retailer cannot seem to get rid of in the usual retail process, thus the need to have things on sale to attract people to buy the excess items. Similarly, in the Harvey Norman Store sales, majority of the AMD notebooks that the customer can get for a price of one are low-powered notebooks.

Among these devices are the E-350 CPUs, which are technically only a step higher than an Intel Atom netbook processor. Virtually then, the Harvey sale is a mixed bag, with the higher-end AMD and lower- end AMD both on the list of the 2 for 1 buy off.

On the other hand, if you’re only thinking in terms of notebook graphics because you will be using them for games, then these AMD machines can still compensate for the fact that their processors are good for purely computational tasks. The AMD machines have Fusion technology, enabling them to deliver really sturdy graphic performance for the prices indicated in the sale.

MacBook Air’s imperfection:

The trend of nowadays netbooks, laptops, and tablets are base on how skinny the gadgets are. The more skinny the more trendy, the more trendy the gadgets are the more possible to be bought in the market. The MacBook Air is the new product of apple that is super-thin. The Super-thin model of Apple has so many compromises which will appear less appealing to the customers.

Just for an instance:
1. Using 80GB iPod hard drive as system drive. Apple’s customers are much favoured to a thicker fashion of the MacBook rather than to have a skinny model that has an anorexic.
2. Non-expandable memory. The motherboard of the MacBook Air has a 2GB RAM, that’s too undersized memory for a notebook that’s worth 2,500-4,500 Australian Dollars.

3. 64GB flash memory as hard drive. As replacement for the hard drive memory is quite nice, the dreadful thing is that it is worth 1,400 Australian Dollars.

4. Single USB port. Without the USB hub with you or the extension cord, it cannot connect from one gadget to another. Branding MacBook Air as ultraportable notebook is already defeated.
5. No wireless broadband. Please Imagine, the trendy notebook that is so thin has no built-in broadband. It is quite mismatch for a thick broadband to connect in a single port notebook to have an internet connection.

6. Last Gen Processor. The latest processor of MacBook Air is equal to Core 2 Duo, Which means it is so slow version. Remember it doesn’t mean that when you’re using the word “latest” is equal to “better”.

7. No microphone port. Well of course you need to have a USB hub to connect.

8. Non-replaceable battery. If there’s already fussed in your notebook’s battery, expect to send it out the entire MacBook Air to Apple’s company.

9. Not that thin. Apple’s claimed that MacBook Air is the super-thin model of all competing notebooks. For the record, Fujitsu Q2010 is half a millimetre thicker than to MacBook Air. Thick a little bit but when we look the lifebook of Fujitsu it is more appealing than Mac Air.

10. No Ethernet Port. You need to have USB Ethernet adaptor just in case your router stops working.

What is super-thin yet anorexic? That’s the simple point for those who still want to have MacBook Air in their laps. Know the specs first and have review in every product, that’s the secret to get awesome notebook.

When Acer made its Aspire S3, the computer company probably had in its mind that the smaller things get, the higher the possibility that they’d tend to bear similarities with other small things as well.

Let’s look at the features of the two and see whether there is basis in the arguments between Acer and Apple.

Air is 17mm at its thickest point, and S3, although claimed to be 13mm only, is actually 17 mm and even more if you take account its rubber stoppers. In terms of weight, both models are at 13″ but S3 weighs 1.35 kg and the air 1.3 kg in weight.

S3 is made of magnesium -aluminium alloy and has a lightly brushed texture finished while Air has been finished in smooth, matte aluminium.

S3 however has air vents similar to Apple but which Apple has successfully hidden under the screen hinge of MacBooks.

Perhaps it is unfortunate that S3 can run on batteries for 7 hours, as Air would not like that of course. The batteries of both netbooks are lithium polymer and are sealed into the devices.
A plus for Apple’s products would be their capacity for storage.

The S3 however, claims too to have a storage capacity o 240GB, and sells much cheaper than the Air with 256GB.

All Aspire S3 models have 4GB RAM but Apple in its Intel HD Graphics 3000 includes more memory than the S3.

S3 has a noticeably thicker screen and its 1377 x 768 pixels may not be actually able to compete with the MacBook Air which has superior display with an edge resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels.

S3 has few ports and connectors. On the right side, it has the SD card reader and on the left is the headphone jack and two more ports are the back, and the power socket and Full-size HMDI port.

It comes with an OSx10.7 “Lion” including the better than other competitors apps, the iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband. The S3 only comes with Windows 7.

Macs always have near-instant system resume with a 15 seconds reboot from a cold start. But Aspire 3 works beautifully as well with its resume, taking about 1.5 seconds to wake up from the sleep mode and about 2.5 seconds to fully reconnect to a usable state on Wi-Fi networks.

Given the detailed comparisons above, should Apple be really alarmed regarding the supposed similarities of the Air and S3?

Or can Apple still regain its’ position as the lead in the computer market? What do you think?

UltraBooks or Ultra-thin and Light Notebooks are really popular, and it isn’t hard to see why…

Thin and light notebooks will change today’s old notebooks. Here are the Top reasons why ultra notebooks will take over the old version of notebooks.

Ultrabooks are Intel’s two-pronged attempt to simultaneously promote the traditional notebook in the face of devices like the iPad, while preventing the further commoditization of its own products.

While linked, the two prongs are distinct enough to deserve individual examination.

Everywhere you go Wi-Fi is present, many workplaces are installing Wi-Fi so that many people can have wireless access to information.

Ports for accessibility are not needed in Ultrabooks. A majority of the things done through the ports of laptops, like storage and printer access, can be done over the air, and this feature can be seen in ultrabooks.

However, if there is really a need for a port, ultrabooks also have universal ports which would take in a USB 3G modem, a camera memory card, and others.

Work can be done anywhere using the Ultrabooks, with their full multitasking OS and real keyboards. Of course, since they’re light you won’t have hesitations in taking them with you everywhere.

DVD drives are instinct in the ultrabook language. No one uses DVD drives much these days, since everything goes through the ports.

The only purpose of a DVD drive is for installing software, but even this will soon be rare as online apps stores are much common now.

Ultrabooks can give stunning speed performance through the SSD. This is because SSD cuts efficiently program loading and booting time.

Ultrabooks may indicate user serviceability as unessential. Swapping parts like RAM and the hard dive may not exactly be present in Ultrabooks, but that doesn’t matter, afterall, notebooks are becoming so cheap now that people can always buy a new one in two or three years.

The resume from sleep system is fast in Ultrabooks. Thanks to Intel, Ultrabooks have this Rapid Start Technology which makes resume time instant even if its batter has already run out.

They are just thin and light, thus are easy to bring.

The price for Ultrabooks right now maybe costly but tech prices go down in just a short time. It won’t be long when Ultrabooks with its SSD storage will eventually become cheap that buying a laptop over the Ultrabooks would be an impractical idea.
