If you browse over the internet for brain making activities, you’d come up with a list of fun tasks to do.

But you probably will not expect that the search engine you’re using might just give you something like the following news.

This may not necessarily be about an activity but it definitely refers to brain shape items for sale online — only, this one isn’t for home décor or Halloween props (unless you want to give such for trick or treat), but one that is actually for that sweet tooth of yours.

What is this item? It’s a Giant Gummi Brain! How do you like that?

A jelly moulded into the shape of a human brain. If you’re feeling zombie-like, why don’t you gobble up this jelly instead of running around chasing humans for a bite?

Besides, you’re a zombie, not Dracula. Careful though, otherwise you’ll get your incisors and molars heavy with pain if they are too sensitive.

This is probably crammed with more calories than we can imagine, but who cares? Eating this will technically be a once in a life time event.

Who wants to eat gummies all the time? Surely, even those with the sweetest tooth will surrender, considering that it weighs about 3.18kg, with the dimensions of 19.5cm(L) x 15.6cm(W) x 7.5cm(D).

Wow, that brain surely weighs too heavy for one zombie dinner. It’s even heavier than the real brain mass of approximately 1.4kg!

What is its’ flavour? It’s Bubble-gum. No, don’t react yet, yes, its colour is red so it should taste like cherry or even strawberry, but then again, maybe the creator imagined that kids and teenager – the product’s target market – prefer bubblegum more than fruits, thus the colour.

Also, a marketability idea might point out as well that red (and even) orange – are colours associated with hunger.

Thus, the gummi brain’s colour will perhaps leave a hungry feeling in the target population, making them want this product although not necessarily eating it.

Anyway,to have it coloured in gray, which is the real colour of a human brain – might not seem appealing at all.

A plus factor for the Giant Gummi Brain is that it’s sugar free — so maybe, just maybe, it’s a healthy bit of food for the consumer. If you’re thinking of buying this, you can buy this product for £19.99 (~$32 USD) over at Firebox .

A thirteen year old boy of the state of New York has won the 2011 Young Naturalist Award in his Oak Tree inspired Solar Array.

Adian Dwyer is a 7th grader who proposes that the Fibonacci sequence which can be found in the arrangement of oak tree leaves can be used as a basis in creating new design of solar panels.

The oak tree design solar panel was found to increase the energy efficiency from 20% to 50%.

According to Dwyer’s essay which was posted at the website of Young Naturalist Award, he was enjoying a nature trip when his attention was caught by how the branches of oak trees are arranged in a spiral pattern.

He wondered why the trees have that pattern and ask what could be the purpose of such.

Learning the mathematical pattern found throughout the nature called as the Fibonacci sequence, he then tested it with the spiral pattern of oak tree branches.

After that, he found out that the pattern adhered to the sequence.

This led him to hypothesize that the purpose of those spiral pattern has something to do with the process of photosynthesis in the trees.

In order to test his hypothesis, he made a miniature oak tree shaped solar array. And a result, his design generated fifty percent more power than the traditional solar power design.

This is due to the various angles of the array that effectively capture the light of the sun.

This idea is unique for a normal teenager like Dwyer. No wonder, he got the award as a young naturalist.

Google TV.

The search giant is indeed thriving to get success in their latest endeavor, the Google TV. For sometime the Google TV has already been enjoyed by the Americans but it seems like the market is not as enthusiastic as was expected before its release.

There can be various reasons for this US market response. One of these is having a wide array of cable companies that perhaps wouldn’t want their business to be injured with the seamless switching of TV and internet that was offered by Google TV.

For that reason, Google is moving to offer their deal in the UK market. According to Telegraph.co.uk, for the coming six months, Google TV will be available in UK.

Apparently, they can access Google TV by having a set-top box that enables them to search channels, videos and web using your television.

Also, an exciting feature is that you can even use your device as remote control with voice recognition. Moreover, the user will be allowed to access the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and more.

Google TV aims to change every user’s experience in watching and using the internet. I’m sure Google TV fans in UK are really excited with this. An introductory video are provided below for you to see the overview of how Google TV works.

In view of this, Google is expecting much in UK because of the region’s availability of free-to-air service unlike in the US. But we can’t say anything more as of yet until we see some good results.

So, we’ll wait for more updates of Google TV in UK within the next six months.

The term ‘geek’ generally may describe an overly intellectual person. However, through time geek is now more associated with fashion or a mode of dressing. But thanks to the watch makers in China, they are bringing back the prowess of a real geek with the Geek Wrist Watch.

This watch features the equivalent notation for every numbers in the clock. For example ’3!’ pertains to 6 because it is a factorial. Now if you can answer more than half of this clock’s notations then you’re really a geek.

Well, aside from being a certified geek, this watch is really stylish in silver. You can wear it every day in work, travel and in formal events. This watch is also accurate and assures you with a high quality. It has the standard watch battery, but it’s not waterproof. This is sold for $65.00.

So, if you’re really a geek and not just a chic why not grab one and try to answer the notations. And oh, before I forget, there’s a cheat sheet included in each clock. The following cheat sheet is shown below:

Cheat Sheet of Geek Wrist Watch

1 – Legendre’s constant is a mathematical constant occurring in a formula conjectured by Adrien-Marie Legendre to capture the asymptotic behavior of the prime-counting function. Its value is now known to be exactly 1.

2 – A joke in the math world: An infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first one orders a beer. The second orders half a beer. The third, a quarter of a beer. The bartender says, “You’re all idiots,” and pours two beers.

3 – A unicode character XML “numeric character reference.”

4 – Modular arithmetic, also known as clock arithmetic, is a system of arithmetic for integers, where numbers “wrap around” after they reach a certain value. The modular multiplicative inverse of 2 (mod 7) is the integer /a/ such that 2*/a/ is congruent to 1 modulo 7.

5 – The Golden Mean…reworked a little.

6 – Three factorial (3*2*1=6)

7 – A repeating decimal that is proven to be exactly equal to 7 with Cauchy’s Convergence Test.

8 – Graphical representation of binary code.

9 – An example of a base-4 number, which uses the digits 0, 1, 2 and 3 to represent any real number.

10 – A Binomial Coefficient, also known as the choose function. 5 choose 2 is equal to 5! divided by (2!*(5-2)!)

11 – A hexadecimal, or base-16, number.

12 – a radical

Have you come across with the latest fad of Super7 store?

Well, here is the clue Darth Vader and Boba Fett. Yes, it’s Star Wars! I assure you this will be a great deal to add to your Star Wars collection.

Recently, the Super7 toy, art, design and culture store have their inaugural release of Star Wars X Super 7 collection and this is the Imperial Forces Wallpaper.

The wallpaper was designed by Brian Flynn of Super7 for his retail store in San Francisco.

Eventually, this design was noticed by Steve Sansweet, an avid collector of Star Wars. It features the Star Wars unforgettable characters such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett and many more. Today, this Star Wars wallpaper is already licensed under the Lucas Film.

Apparently, the wallpaper is intricately designed in textured portrait which is also hand screened in an artistic, sci-fi black and white hue.

Actually, the black and white are very good base colors to decorate your room as any colors can be paired to it.

At a first distant glance, you will not instantly notice that the designs were actually Star Wars characters, but when you take a stare at it, oh wow! It’s just amazing. I wish I could see some other neutral colors like gray and brown for this wallpaper.

It is sold from $75 for 17 sq. feet to $350 for 101 sq. feet. So, what are you waiting for, grab yours now and may the forces be with you as you feel the look of Star Wars inside your room.

You can get this wallpaper from the Super7 store here.

Jabba and the rest of the Star Wars crowd would rejoice knowing that their friend Han Solo is not only an accomplished galactic government figure but also an icon hero for those who want to keep cool.

The Han Solo Carbonite Ice Cube Tray has been released for sale by the Kotobukiya Japanese Company in its website.

This is the company’s follow up kitchen item project after the Jedi and Sith Lightsaber Chopsticks they’ve introduced to consumers had turned out to be a real successful endeavour.

The Han Solo Carbonite ice tray is made from the silicone element, which is both heat and ice resistant, thus making such tray a durable ice container.

It’s definitely difficult to break because it is not the usual plastic ice trays you’d find in most kitchen corners. The tray has one large cube slot and six smaller ones, all sporting the moulded figure of Han Solo.

A plus factor for this product is the fact that even if the tray is determined to be mainly for ice cubes, in reality, you can actually capture the Star Wars lead character in just about anything – chocolate, jelly, cupcakes and others.

By the way, how does Han Solo look in the mould?

If you can remember his imprisonment pose in the movies The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi — then you’ll be able to recognize Han’s look in this one.

Product reviews say that the tray can accurately replicate the said image, now this is interesting, considering that the tray would need to be made in accordance to the detailed look of Han Solo during his imprisonment, and such feat might be a difficult one.

If you take a close look however of the ice tray in the Kotobukiya site, you’ll find out that indeed, the image of Han Solo’s imprisonment is exactly captured in the mould.

The tray is relatively cheaper than the lightsaber chopstick, which sells for almost 20 dollars a pair. The Han Solo Carbonite tray can be bought at the price of $9.99, a good deal because you will not be only purchasing a practical house ware but as well as a crazy cool but unique and very creative product.

So if you’re a Star Wars fanatic or simply thinking of Star Wars themed parties or hangouts, maybe you’d like to get yourself this item. Your guests will just love this.

“Back to the Future” is one of the most prestigious trilogies in the history of American cinema.

It’s one of those films that everybody in your neighbourhood seemed to have watched.

Auspiciously, Nike considered travelling back in time and decided to bring ‘back to the future’ in reality, as they introduced the Marty Mcfly shoes, also branded as Nike Air Mag.

The Marty Mcfly Sneakers are detailed with sport glowing LEDs and an electroluminescent ‘Nike’ on the straps. These two main features are supposed to catch the attention of Nike fans.

The original plan however for the Nike Air Mag was to have its own power straps – those that would tighten on their own once the shoes are worn.

Unfortunately though, the company had probably decided not to fully feature these shoe laces because they just seem so impractical.

The shoe laces would have been attached to a small motor at the back of the shoes but perhaps the model just seemed not to work out thus Nike had decided not to include such in the final product.

Anyway, it would have been awkward and uncomfortable to have an ugly looking motor dangle behind a high-tech pair of shoes.

So other than the blinking lights and the fact that they can continue to glow in five hours, what else really does Nike Air Mag gives the consumer?

Hopefully, the shoes will be comfortable to wear despite the fact that you’d need to charge them.

It would be even better if the shoes themselves are shock resilient too, that way, they can be used for activities other than fashion and fad.

If these won’t be really provided, it might appear that the shoes are then merely for fashion and novelty, just some pair worthy for the Back to the Future fanatics and for those who have shoe fetish for their collectibles.

The Back of the future sneakers is finally ready for release. With several marketing teaser videos regarding the shoes posted in technology sites, and those posted in you tube by DocEmmettBrown88, surely, Nike’s already in want of introducing the shoes to the public.

You’ll probably get one pair of Nike Air Mag, especially if these are considered to be a limited edition phenomenon, with only 1,500 pairs available for sale.

To add to its appeal, all of the earnings from these 1,500 pairs will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, a foundation dedicated to finding solutions and treatment to Parkinson’s disease. However, if you ask me, I’ll wait first what really is in store for these shoes, and decide whether its price is worth it or not.

A wonderful and sensible creations like Hadar Gorelik’s concept of modular bread toaster, drives me to admire more of the brilliance and passion of Israeli women.

Gorelik, an industrial designer who studied at Shenkar College (one of the world’s renown school for the Arts and Design) is actually a former Commanding Officer of Base Operations center in the Israeli Air-Force. She served in the Israeli Air-force from 2004 to 2007.

This 25-year old cool chick draws me back to remember Deborah, one of the most powerful independent women ever told in the history of Israel.

She is a pure breed Israeli raised by a father who is an army and a mother who is an interior designer. Apparently, these two extremes of which she describes as “Army and Arts” are two forces that makes up her entire personality.

Aside from that, I can say that she’s family oriented too because her concept of designing this modular toaster has started in a big family breakfast, of which she finds it unreasonable to wait and then get up every after four minutes to toast one bread at a time.

For a big family, it is impossible to enjoy eating toasted bread together if you only got one bread toaster.

In order to save much time, she developed the Modular Toaster.

As you can see in the pictures, each toaster is assembled together to make one big toaster. It can work either together or separately. So, this modular toaster is the solution in toasting more slices of bread all at once in one machine.

We have not seen the actual performance of Gorelik’s design and there are no further informations yet on this project. I guess, we shall have to wait for more updates on this big bread toaster.

If you’re fond of receiving emails or make use of chatting via Facebook, I think you already know what particular sound indicates an email or a Facebook message.

However, how would you react if you will actually hear the sound of a ringing bell when you receive your email? Well, you must check this USB powered and controlled bell or in short the USB bell.

Apparently, the USB bell is a project that aims to be useful in receiving email notifications.

It mainly consists a mounted micro-controller inside the base of a counter bell that will produce the sound by the pulling of electromagnet on the bell’s clapper, then it communicate with the computer over USB.

This may sound geeky to you, but the project creator of this device is so kind and helpful in sharing his innovation.

While some may think that this project is absurd and the designer is one of those attention seekers, none of us can tell what he truly has in mind. But interestingly, he explained the step by step instructions in making the USB bell, of which he claims that it is so easy at the instructables.com.

He posted the following requirements in order to put up a USB bell:

Skills Required:
1. Soldering: solder six electrical components together.
2. Knowledge of electronics
3. Knowledge of programming (optional)

Materials Required:
1. A counter bell with a steel clapper
2. A short bolt
3. A transistor
4. A resitor
5. A large capacitor
6. A diode
7. A forebrain dev board
8. Some prototyping board and wires.

Obviously, this project is of very great interest to those geeks, but there is a warning in proceeding with the USB bell. This is risky both for you and your computer. It may cause injury to you if mistakes were done and damage to your PC too.

STYPE: Chat On Skype Using Typewriter:

Can you imagine how a mere type writer machine sends type written messages on line? I mean would you dare to chat via Skype using a typewriter?

Well, if you happened to watch the multi-awarded prime time sci-fi program series on Fox network, Fringe, then you can relate to what I’m going to tell about this strange device.

This thing is called the STYPE.
The name STYPE is a combination of Skype and Typewriter, of which was envisioned to work in the combined function of both Skype and the typewriter machine.

Apparently, this is a project created by Daniel Huhndt, a German who is studying Masters of Media Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Huhndt’s came up with an innovative, yet a mystifying machine at the Bauhaus University display.

The machine is compose with a vintage typewriter, complex pulleys and a set of belts. As you can see in the videos it does a two way chat online.

Apparently, it works by typing messages on the paper and automatically the machine will itself type the reply of the recipient.

What is shocking about it, is the reality that the type writer’s keyboard is actually moving as if someone unseen is typing on the typewriter.

However, it was explained by Huhndt, the inventor that solenoid, relays, pushbuttons, some parts of a cheap board, arduino mega and mac mini all contribute to the typewriting mystery.

Moreover, Huhndt also said that he is intending to use STYPE to chat on Skpe, but as we have observed the inventor is using the primitive ELIZA in processing the program. So, I think that Huhndt’s is going to face more challenges in achieving that aim for this machine.
