The mobile world is now circulated with rumors about Sony Ericsson’s plan to work on an almost 5 inches 3D smartphone. The said smartphone is going to have the glasses –free 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a dual core Snapdragon processor.

These features although leaked are extremely going beyond the normal 3D smartphones we have today. If the said resolution could be true, then we can say that the distinction between a tablet and a smartphone is no longer applicable. Why? It’s because 1280×720 pixels is the standard resolution for a normal 13 inches laptop screen, but if we will transfer this huge resolution onto a 4.7 screen then we will be expecting an ultimately sharp and clear images. No wonder, Sony Ericsson remains in the top global mobile phone industry. They have really served the worldwide communication market with a very high-end technology such as this.

Although, the sources of these rumors are not yet confirmed, I think that this has already reached the ears of Sony Ericsson’s competitors. Particularly by the HTC, as they claimed to be the first in America who had released the glasses free 3D 4G devices, only that the measure of the device’s screen is lesser than 4.7 inches.

Setting aside the features of this rumored 3D smartphone, one thing that I see in this rumor is that the reason for the fast growth of mobile industry is not only based on the number of consumers, but also on how innovative you are with the use of technology. And that I think the edge of Sony Ericsson.

The most awaited Sony Playstation Vita is going to have a launch in Japan at the last month of this year.

While this news creates excitement for Playstation fans in Japan, the North Americans are just hearing the clocks ticking waiting for the Vita to finally come in their area.

Sadly, there’s no sign of Sony Vita as of yet in their area.

Apparently, it was announced that Sony will launch 26 games for the system that will include a wide array of peripherals and proprietary cards.

Basically, the system has no built-in memory that’s why you need to buy the proprietary cards in order to use the downloadable games, movies or music.

So, this is like a good strategy for Sony. On the other hand, battery life is also one that needs attention here. This may be the only downside that I can see in Sony Vita.

Imagine you should bother yourself in setting your brightness into default with Bluetooth turned off and headphones use for audio.

In order for you to have a greater picture of what I am talking about, take a look at this information provided below:

Available Memory Card System Battery Life
(Size) (Hours)

4GB -¥2,200 ($29) Game (3-5 hours approximate)
8GB -¥3,200 ($42) Video (5 hours approximate)
16GB -¥5,500 ($71) Music (9 hours approximate) stand by mode
32GB -¥9,500 ($124)

In other words, the release of Sony Vita is something that we expect, but taking into account its cost including the proprietary cards and the limited battery life are quite disappointing.

No wonder, one day we will also be required of buying a third party battery pack which I hope will not happen.

The Grand Theft Auto series is remarkably a full action 3D game that most of us have enjoyed to play. Millions of players are hooked with this game and now they are much more alive in waiting for the next GTA 5 release date.

According to an article by Tom Ivan over at Computer and video games, the release date of GTA 5 is suggested to be on January 15, 2012 as suggested by the German retailer called GameStop who has a listing for this game. This could mean that at the E3 Expo in June, Rock star games could finally reveal the next installment of the franchise.

However, we could recall that last year we heard rumors that the game will soon be out this year. But with this latest news, it created both confusion and disappointment for the GTA fans. While we receive this news, some analysts are not resolve to believe on this news as official. Many of these game analysts believe that the game will be out before the said date.

The reason behind their prediction is that millions of players will surely protest in this inconsistent dates. Although this possibility may be far-fetched, we cannot tell where our patience will end. We just hope that with the additional year in waiting, the release of GTA 5 will really impress us in awe and strike us with tremendous features that are totally different with the former GTAs.

There is nowhere in the world that will tell us the exact date of the release of GTA, though there is already an announced date.

Sony announced its NGP handheld gaming device earlier this year, finally laying to rest countless rumors with the reality of a new piece of tech that can essentially be encapsulated as “PlayStation 3 on the go.” with rumours surfacing today that Sony’s answer to the Nintendo 3DS may hit European shores on November 11th.

The deployment is said to culminate on November 11, the supposed release date. The company had already mentioned that the “goal is get at least one territory out by the end of holiday 2011?. But the electronics giant has not said anything regarding the place where the device would be launched. The company had declared at the time of announcing the device that it will be out during the fag end of 2011.

Sony’s handheld device is all-but confirmed to be releasing in Japan this year. If it were to do so in Europe and North America as well, it would be the first simultaneous games hardware launch ever for Sony. Time will tell though, and we’ll keep you posted.

Sony, being a Japan-based company, has traditionally launched its gaming hardware there first. A debut for the NGP in Europe isn’t impossible, but given the vague sourcing for this news it is probably best not to make any assumptions just yet. It is equally likely Europe will be just one part of a global launch. Or that the reports are simply inaccurate and Japan will lead the charge for the NGP’s release, as most have expected.

The Sony NGP comes with a slew of impressive specs. A five-inch, 16 million color 960×544 OLED touchscreen that caters to game-buffs, a quad-core processor based on ARM Cortex A9, twin cameras, twin speakers and twin analogue sticks as well complete the package.

Another interesting aspect we stumbled upon is that Sony will be pricing the NGP for an amount probably less than $599. The manufacturer has plans to bring out WiFi-only as well as 3G versions. Plans regarding cross-platform NGP and Android smartphone gaming are also in the offing, we guess.

Sting, the Tokyo-based developers of hardcore strategy RPGs like Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare (DS version pictured above), is back with a brand-new title. The new issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine brings first word this week on Gungnir, a PSP-exclusive RPG and the first original (non-port) title from the developer since Knights in late 2008.

In Gungnir, the empire of Gargandia is currently engrossed in a civil war between the ruling race, the Dartania and the poorer race the Leonica. The character Julio Ragwell, a member of the latter race, saves a Dartanian girl by the name of Alissa and asks her to join his resistance force, as she was about to be sold to a different country. Julio has been in the resistance force called Esperanza since he was young, and he owns the titular spear the Gungnir, said to have the god of war within. Also revealed were the characters Elise, a mysterious girl who claims she is a messenger of the gods and Ragnus Ragwell, head of the resistance and Julio’s step brother.

Famitsu stated that Gungnir’s gameplay will be more conventional than its previous title Knights in the Nightmare, though there will be some new aspects as well. How exactly the gameplay will pan out has yet to be fully unveiled, but Famitsu did mention two systems: tactics gauge and act sequence. The former will be a key to battles, and is a gauge on the left side of the screen. The latter shows your battle order, in the form of a bar at the bottom of the screen.

Gungnir, which is mostly being developed by the former Yggdra Union staff, is due out May 19 in Japan for the PSP. There’s no word on a US release yet, but considering Atlus is the publisher, an English version seems pretty likely sometime in the future.

The mobile game lovers have been expecting for the last one year since there was a rumor that Sony was working on a mobile phone version of the play station phone (PSP). For their happiness, though it is not quite official, the fresh pictures are leaked online. The pictures of the PSP device branded name of Sony Ericsson with PSP controls in the place of keyboard. It is expected that the device is supported by Honeycomb (Android), a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM.

The screen appears to be around 3.7 to 4.1 inches with multi-touch touch pad, which would be most suitable for gaming. There is a change of memory Stick which was used in previous PSPs and the latest one has storage capacity supported with microSD. When asked about it both Sony Ericsson and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe refused to talk about it. The news sources believe that the Sony would unveil PSP at Mobile World Congress. Let us hope for the best.

Sony PSP 2 a long awaited handheld Gaming device has been reported to be unveiled on January 27, the report came through Bloomberg.com. Throughout the Rumors and expectations the device is mentioned to be an exciting one but still there is question mark how exciting?

There has already been lot of rumors about the launching of PSP 2 so you have to decide whether this could be believed or not, the report says that Sony will unveil the PlayStation Portable handheld on January 27 followed by game playing Smartphone in February, to be believed, the report says that they knew about this plan from two people having a good knowledge of Sony’s plan.

Now the Nintendo has the dominant market-share in the field and Tokyo-based Company is trying to be rival to gain a market share with these devices.

Meanwhile, Nintendo is also preparing the launch of the 3DS handheld. In a way, the 3DS has something that PSP2 may not be able to offer out of the box — 3D gaming capabilities.

Cupertino-based Apple also has unavoidable share in this sector with its increasingly popular gaming Apps. We have to see How the Sony is going to beat these two dominant share holders of the field with PSP 2.

Anyway, Sony will have to put a lot of effort to convince the gamers that the new device has something different and exciting features.

TRON: Evolution is an immersive third person action-adventure game that pulls the player into the unique digital world of TRON. Gamers explore TRON’s cities using the free running phenomenon Parkour, navigate among unique rebel factions, and fight an epic battle against a dictator’s seemingly unstoppable army in the prequel story to the highly anticipated film, TRON: Legacy.

For some reason known only to Propaganda Games, Tron Evolution is a mid-quel that takes place between the original film and Tron Legacy. Now to explain it I’ll have to spoil some plot points for the second film, so if you haven’t seen it yet, be forewarned.

As it is explained in the second film, Kevin Flynn has been spending his spare time on a closed mainframe of his design working on building the “perfect system.” He designed a new version of CLU and brought Tron over from ENCOM’s mainframe to help him with this endeavor. During this time, these new anomalous entities called “Isos” appeared. As best as I can figure out, they are programs that have evolved into a sort of new lifeform, whose functions and coding offer the key to the mysteries of the universe. Or something. The movie plays loose with them, so it’s not made overly clear. According to Tron Legacy, CLU comes to see these Iso’s as imperfections in the system, and so begins what boils down to cybernetic genocide, simultaneously cutting off Flynn’s access to the real world. The game seeks to tell the backstory of how CLU pulled all of this off, and how Flynn initially tried to prevent it.

The single-player campaign is composed of seven lengthy, linear stages, guiding Anon and Quorra from Tron City to Ajira, the Outlands and several other vistas in The Grid. Evolution is played mostly from a third person perspective, though when in combat, it will lock into an almost birds-eye view. Anon mostly makes use of his parkour skills to get from A to B, being able to run along walls, grab onto ledges and leap over gaps (think Prince of Persia.) Though fun at times, it’s not entirely fluid and the small gallery of perilous obstacles – such as beams of energy – fail to impress, having not been integrated into the game particularly well.

Online Multiplayer is also present in Tron: Evolution, though it too suffers from the flaws of the single-player experience. Combat and navigation are handled exactly the same, though energy supplies are more limited to balance out the playing field. It can get incredibly repetitive and even messy at times, especially when you get players spamming area attacks. Game types include your regular team based objectives such as Team Disintegration and Power Struggle, with a couple of free-for-all variants.

Key Game Features:

High Mobility Combat – Battle the enemies of the TRON world with your light disc using a dynamic blend of free running and martial arts movement on your heroic mission across the Grid.

Vehicular Action – Fast paced exciting light cycle racing and light disc combat on the digital grid.

Bridge the Legacy – TRON: Evolution is the prequel story to the film TRON: Legacy and unlocks mysteries in the rich TRON mythology.

Online/Multiplayer – TRON: Evolution has an innovative online experience featuring 10 person multiplayer, persistent character progression, and light disc and light cycle battles.

Voiceover Cast – Voiceover by actress Olivia Wilde as Quorra and Bruce Boxleitner as Tron
