We have the Han Solo Ice Tray, the R2-D2 Operations Game and the Lightsaber hand rail in trains, now here comes another product depicting Star Wars icons. This may be just another Star Wars piece of merchandise but if you are a Star Wars Movie fanatic then you might like this one too just like how you probably have purchased the other items mentioned in the first part of the paragraph.

ThinkGeek has released an announcement about the newest Star Wars item that can be purchased in the market. This is the Star Wars Lightsaber Candlestick, which technically, is merely a candlestick but clearly a Star Wars Collectible. The item, which accurately resembles Darth Vader’s lightsaber, is a nice piece for an eclectic dining table look. You don’t have to stick to the usual traditional bronze and gold candlestick mix for your table because that would be really boring. A tinge of silver and black epitome can be a good piece of paraphernalia to give your dining table a modern and classy face.

The lightsaber candlestick is made up of a zinc-alloy and chrome-plated cast and it can be unscrewed from its stand thus making it look authentically really like that of the real lightsaber from the Star Wars movie. Additional items that are provided together with the candlestick are three tall, red, no drip taper candles, which can serve (in analogy) as the plasma blade of the real lightsaber. Aside from the detailed structures for the lightsaber replica, the candlestick is also a heavy metal weight. If you don’t just want to use this item then as a candlestick ornament on your table, then you can use this too for bashing your house intruders. Surely, this would strike your house enemies out of their consciousness. By the way, should your candles run out, you can replace them with other candles still, just make sure that they are no drip as well because it would be such a waste to have wax dripping into this candlestick collectible?
Anyway, this is a timely product because the first shipment for the items are on December, thus such can be purchased for the gift giving tradition during the holiday season. But take note of its price, it costs around $39.99.

The new upcoming Counter-Strike game titled Global Offensive will soon available in London EuroGamer Expo. This will be release in sometime 2012. There’s no definite date for the release but I’m sure I won’t miss this opportunity to play through the new CS game. During the Exposure, I and the EuroGamers are very impressed with what we’ve saw.

Few years ago I was worried on how the Valve will implement the CS to Xbox 360 and PS3. As a player of CS 1.6 and a fanatic of CS, this is very difficult to learn especially if you are a first timer. This was feature in the regular PC version meaning with all the mouse control and the sensitivity in order to control your soldier and aimed the enemy accurately. But during the Expo the Global Offensive on console is aiming accurately. The formula of the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles are the same console formula of the PC version. Meaning you can take down your enemy same to the PC version.
I noticed something, because the time to play has limitation in Expo, although I’m a fan and a player of CS 1.6 version. I am not sure about this one it took a big amount of AK47 ammos to kill the enemy. This is a powerful weapon in CS 1.6 but the enemy is still up and the damage is not critical or maybe because I only have 30 to 40 minutes of gaming. I might have a poor aiming sight and took a big amount of ammos to fall down the enemy. The buying system in Global Offensive is in form of a visual wheel. This way you can buy your weapons very quickly and go to your tactical positions before the enemy.

The crosshair is different from the CS 1.6. Like me as a veteran player of CS 1.6 I won’t be enjoying using the crosshair. This is totally different from the PC version, if this is just the same the players will enjoy the moment of firing their enemies. This must be the reason why I am not able to aim fire, if ever I aimed the damage is less. In general, the new CS took me by surprise and I will wait until the d-day of Global Offensive release. I will be the first one who will enjoy the game.

EuroGamers are now on the mode playing Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare is the great substitute for the Black Ops zombies; MW3 is more about survival mode game, meaning you are fighting for your life with a friend. For the BF3, for those who haven’t played the game yet, the fans of the Battlefield found out some gameplay mechanics very bad and as well as the beta graphics.

At first for the expectation check up for the BF3, my expectation is very high. The graphics is better and the game engine is new also the game play and destruction. When the testing was done I felt disappointed as other EuroGamers felt about the game. When the gamers saw the PC version of the battle field 3 it only adds disappointment to them. The Battlefield 3 beta was just like a demo and EuroGamers agreed on this view.

If EuroGamers are totally disappointed to the BF3 beta, on the other hand the gamers didn’t disappoint with Call of Duty: MW3 or the Modern Warfare 3. This comment was coming from the fans of Battlefield Games. What a Big Shift! MW3 as the replacement of Black Ops zombies plays on the Xbox 360 playing on the survivor mode. MW3 has a modern combat, and game play is on survivor mode. What is cool in MW3 you are fighting for your life with a friend in co-op. The weapons are upgraded and many airstrikes, and other surprising features.

In the start mode you will start carrying a pistol but when you kill someone your pistol will be replace after you pick up the weapon that you kill. Your weapon will be upgraded as soon as you kill someone that has a high power weapon. This game will cost you no money because you will only earn the ammo and weapon by killing your enemies.

The MW3 survivor mode helps you to think wisely and think what will be the strategic plan. If you keep on spending money to buy weapons and ammos the most probable will happen you will run out of money. However you can also choose not to spend your money but you need to kill your enemies to gain weapons.

The idea of building your own gaming PC system is so brilliant and the one who will bring this idea into reality is a genius. Well, if you’re a passionate gamer and an avid PC builder, this update is for you.

The APC’s Live Builds Gaming Editor, Chris Lampard is a young hardcore gamer whose passion is also on building a gaming system within the reach of ordinary people’s budget. He is probably working on building a gaming PC for APC.
The core system that Lampard is working to build is composed by the following:

1.	CPU. It uses the Intel Core i7 2600K which costs $325. This processor is better in overclocking activities as it can easily handle the speed, temperature and less power usage.

2.	Cooler. Corsair H100 that cost $169 is also suggested for maximum efficiency as it doubles the cooling process with low noise and low temperatures as a result.

3.	Motherboard. The utilization of the newest board G1.Sniper2 at Gigabyte is perfect for ultimate gaming performance with overclocking. This cost $429.

4.	Graphics. It uses the VTX3D AMD Radeon HD 6990 4GB which costs $799. This one is a good hard drive for overclocking without paying more than your budget. It has a two year warranty.

5.	RAM. The latest speed we have today runs in 2133MHz, so the 2x4GB Skill Ripjaws X F3 fits the hardcore gaming activity. But an 8GB is more preferable.

6.	Hard drive 1. A 4 x OCZ Vertex 3 60Gb RAID 0 which costs $556 provides the fastest performance.

7.	Hard drive 2. The Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB that costs $88 is good for safekeeping your files.

8.	Optical Drive. A Pioneer DVR-219 DVDRW that costs $29 is one of the best optical drives.

9.	PSU. Siverstone Strider 1200W Gold that costs $275.

10.	Case. Antec Twelve Hundred V3 that costs $205 is very well-ventilated and has a lot of space for the system.
All in all the system is computed in Australian dollars which total cost is AUD $3, 133.

So, do you have any suggestions about this build system?

The mobile world is now circulated with rumors about Sony Ericsson’s plan to work on an almost 5 inches 3D smartphone. The said smartphone is going to have the glasses –free 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a dual core Snapdragon processor.

These features although leaked are extremely going beyond the normal 3D smartphones we have today. If the said resolution could be true, then we can say that the distinction between a tablet and a smartphone is no longer applicable. Why? It’s because 1280×720 pixels is the standard resolution for a normal 13 inches laptop screen, but if we will transfer this huge resolution onto a 4.7 screen then we will be expecting an ultimately sharp and clear images. No wonder, Sony Ericsson remains in the top global mobile phone industry. They have really served the worldwide communication market with a very high-end technology such as this.

Although, the sources of these rumors are not yet confirmed, I think that this has already reached the ears of Sony Ericsson’s competitors. Particularly by the HTC, as they claimed to be the first in America who had released the glasses free 3D 4G devices, only that the measure of the device’s screen is lesser than 4.7 inches.

Setting aside the features of this rumored 3D smartphone, one thing that I see in this rumor is that the reason for the fast growth of mobile industry is not only based on the number of consumers, but also on how innovative you are with the use of technology. And that I think the edge of Sony Ericsson.

Amd on Graphics For The Upcoming Xbox 720:

The next generation Xbox console has not yet come officially, but discussions about Xbox 720 is getting hotter and hotter each day. Adding to the heat is the latest announcement from AMD that an Avatar-like graphics is to be expected from the upcoming console.

This news might be sorted as one of the speculations because neither AMD nor Xbox has given us a confirmation that the two of them are in a work for the Xbox 720.

However, as can be noted from Neal Robison, AMD’s Director of ISV Relationships, he stated that the Xbox 720 would actually have a 3D graphics feature similarly close to James Cameron’s “Avatar”.

Add to that are the Physics and Artificial Intelligence that are going to be utilized in the game.

Apparently, the present feature that we have seen and experienced in the games like Grand Theft Auto will be different in Xbox 720, as each character in this latest console will have an independent and separate act.

They will no longer act and move based on the script, but they will react based on the actions of the player. This really sounds fun and exciting, isn’t it?

Nevertheless, if this information is true, then we will see its real performance in the next couple of years at the E3 event.

Moreover, we are hoping for these big gaming developers to improve on their controllers. It’s quite strange to play with that advanced 3D capabilities in a way back 10-year old button layout. There must be a new wine for the new wineskin.

Star Wars Operation Board game:

Hasbro, a US multinational toy and board game company, has released an Operation board game that features R2-D2 as the patient in need of medical help.

Operation has originally been a battery operated game assessing the hand and eye coordination and other fine motor skills of the players.

The first version of Operation included the red nosed, chubby and naked character called Cavity Sam lying on an operating table and having fictional and humorously named illnesses such as Wrenched ankle Charley Horse.

Modern versions of Operation offered more complex mechanisms like a heart monitor for the patient, one which allowed the doctor player to pump oxygen to gain him more playing time.

Also, the characters no longer just include Cavity Sam, but also the characters of Buzz Light Year, Homer Simpson, Sponge Bob, Spider man and Doctor Who. The latest version again uses Star Wars R2-D2 as the sick client.

It seems crazy to have a droid as the patient, given that robots are not made up of the organs making up a human character but really, what harm can a little robot fun bring?

This is not to say the least that after all, the droid repair simply emphasizes that the world is really turning technology oriented. Soon, we might be seeing robots everywhere.

However, if we take in Star Wars characters, it shouldn’t be R2-D2 that should be on the operating table but C3PO instead.

R2′s character is a sturdy, feisty droid always giving his opinions while C3PO is the clumsy, always getting into more trouble than help robot.

What more, it seems to be always in separated parts, so it might be needing more repairs than R2. But then again, C3PO plays a small time role on the side of R2 anyway, with repairs needing to be mended in its neck.

This latest Operation version comes with the realistic sounds of the two droids, making the malady repairs done more fun.

So if you’re feeling like a little bit kid-like, or if you’re a Star Wars fanatic, you might want to add this up to your shopping cart next time. This toy costs only under $30, a great buy for a great fun!

The most awaited Sony Playstation Vita is going to have a launch in Japan at the last month of this year.

While this news creates excitement for Playstation fans in Japan, the North Americans are just hearing the clocks ticking waiting for the Vita to finally come in their area.

Sadly, there’s no sign of Sony Vita as of yet in their area.

Apparently, it was announced that Sony will launch 26 games for the system that will include a wide array of peripherals and proprietary cards.

Basically, the system has no built-in memory that’s why you need to buy the proprietary cards in order to use the downloadable games, movies or music.

So, this is like a good strategy for Sony. On the other hand, battery life is also one that needs attention here. This may be the only downside that I can see in Sony Vita.

Imagine you should bother yourself in setting your brightness into default with Bluetooth turned off and headphones use for audio.

In order for you to have a greater picture of what I am talking about, take a look at this information provided below:

Available Memory Card System Battery Life
(Size) (Hours)

4GB -¥2,200 ($29) Game (3-5 hours approximate)
8GB -¥3,200 ($42) Video (5 hours approximate)
16GB -¥5,500 ($71) Music (9 hours approximate) stand by mode
32GB -¥9,500 ($124)

In other words, the release of Sony Vita is something that we expect, but taking into account its cost including the proprietary cards and the limited battery life are quite disappointing.

No wonder, one day we will also be required of buying a third party battery pack which I hope will not happen.

Although it took the creators of the first Cars film five years to come up with a sequel and a follow up video game, it should not be viewed that the Cars was not at all interesting and unsuccessful.

On the contrary, the movie and the game turned out to be really something that are not just for the kids’ enjoyment, but as well as for the adults.

The video game, developed by Avalanche Software and published by Disney interactive goes beyond the normal race cars you’d see everywhere.

The game lets the player drive cars and race against the other cars. Though this may appear as simple, there is really more to the game than just racing.

Any kind and adult for that matter will probably like the game for its plot and mechanics.

But to appreciate Cars 2 video game, you have to look at things beyond the adult’s perspective for a highly complex and strategic game.

When playing something that has given kids joy from its line of Cars toys, Pyjamas, and clothes, you should leave all those childhood hesitancies and adult criticism, otherwise you won’t be able to gain fun from the whole experience.

However, you would need of course to look at the graphics and playability of the game still.

Cars 2 video game lets you start with the New Agent Training mode thereby allowing you to first get used to the basics of racing and the techniques for gaining lead positions in the race.

Perhaps it is more recommendable to watch the movie first before attempting to play the game.

Most developers of games based on movies usually have close tie-in with the movies thus the games would practically resemble the movie themselves. Although such predictability in the game can be bad for some gamers considering that there might not be any surprise plot anymore, with Cars 2, it’s just perfect.

Cars 2 video game can bring back the feel good factor that the movie gives to its viewers. This is exactly what one may really like to experience when one is playing the game for purposes of unwinding. If you have previously loved games like Mario Kart, then Cars 2 will just be as awesome for you.

Added factor to the game is the idea that the player can not only race, but can also use weapons during racing.

This is interesting because most kids would really love to have action when playing.

The specific toy weapons referred to here are guns and the graphics involved in the video game is definitely outstanding. Imagine an almost 3d like experience of shooting things through satellite lasers, missiles and other guns, all attached to the car character the player has chosen to use ion the game. A game with this quality would be something that any adult gamer should really love.

One of the races in the game is the scene for “When Life Gives You Lemons”.

This race is set on an oilrig and the movie scene this represents is the home of the “Lemons” or the cars in the movie that were considered to have problems when they were built.

What’s nice about this race is that at the start, the camera swings around your chosen car showing your car in a touch of motion blur and allowing you to take a full view of your car.

This is unlike other car races games where the player is just shown as the driver and the profile of the car is not seen at all.

The game by the way allows the player to choose from 25 car choices although majority of them would still need to be unlocked as the game goes on. Also, other than the racing, the player needs too to know ticks to gain turbo boost to win the game.

A Cars 2 fan will enjoy the game regardless of possible hitches. But there are really several reasons why a non fan will enjoy the game as well.

One of the many reasons would be the difficulty. Although it has been said earlier that the game is a no brainer, it technically gets difficult after a few stages.

The races become harder, requiring quick actions from the player. If you’re slow, you won’t be able to finish the game at all.

The additional extras in the game are drifting, energy turbos and collecting crests and badges.

Exciting actions that can be done too are driving through ten fruitstands in one of the races, drafting cars for five minutes, using fifteen turbos in a single event and hitting the chase car 25 times with the car weapons in the Survival Mode.

All these extras are an additional depth to the game, making the game a valuable rent for the hardcore adult gamers.

A hitch for the game however is it does not allow online multiplayer. Allowing the gamers to connect online would probably increase the game’s strength.

If online multiplayer is allowed, then the players will be able to compete with other gamers too.

A come on though for kid gamers is that they can play mini games like avoiding laser canons and collecting shields at the same time. This too comes from the scenes in the movie. And the gun firing may really be engaging for them.

All in all, Cars 2 video game can be an entertaining piece for both adult and kid gamer.

The hitch mentioned earlier can really be taken for granted, given that the game can give the solo player an amazing gaming experience.

If you’re a gamer and you think that Cars 2 is a blunder, you just might want to recheck your judgment and try playing the game first.

Log on to Razerzone.com and you’ll see their newest Razer Gaming Laptop Switchblade UI, dubbed to be the “World’s First True Gaming Laptop.”

While it might not necessarily be the one and only gaming laptop offered in the gaming industry, with other gaming laptops like Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q898 , MSI GT683R and Eurocom Racer out in the market, Razer’s Switchblade UI certainly takes the lead with its impressive features.

If you’re a hardcore gamer then, and you’re fed up with the idea that you can’t bring along your heavy pcs anywhere so you can continue playing, then this item will suit your needs.

Razer’s Swithcblade UI is sleek, thin and black, the perfect qualities for those in want of elegance when gaming.

Oh yes, the other gaming laptops like Alienware and XPS will do, but Switchblade offers more than the convenience of having a portable gaming device, being 2.24 inches thick only. Added to its elegant features would be its light weight, only about 7 pounds, or 6.9 pounds to be precise.

That’s about 3 pounds lighter than the top rated best gaming laptop in online computer shops, the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q898.

Also, Switchblade UI has 10 keypad buttons that are programmable and adaptive and an LCD track pad that is not only an ultra sensitive multi-touch track pad but doubles as well as a small screen that fully displays in-game information.

Furthermore, Switchblade UI gives you a 1080p visuals with its 17.3″ LED screen and a built in HD webcam.

It’s 8GB DD3 RAM allows you to do more than playing games on it, you can actually surf the web while simultaneously playing your favourite game.

The price? Switchblade costs $2,800 (USD), which is almost the same price as a MacBook Pro 17, the latest from Apple and a MacBook that has a state of the art processor thereby making it work twice as fast, a thunderbolt I/O technology with data transfer up to 10 Gbps and game changing graphics.

Although MacBook Pro 17 is a good choice for a laptop, Switchblade still gives its user an advantage when the user merely would want something that offers first rate gaming experience.

Thus Razer’s Swichblade UI, with its revolutionary, innovative design, is a top choice for a blazing benchmarked gaming world.
