Are you fond of watching viral video advertising trend? Viral videos are different from any traditional advertising trend, because the name itself “viral” video, the video spreads likes a virus. There’s nothing to worry because it is no virus in that viral videos it’s just it spreads like a virus because of a non traditional advertisements. These viral videos are awesome although some videos are not appropriate in products that were introduced. You yourself judge the difference of non traditional and the traditional advertisements.
Enough to 30 and 60 second advertisement, the consumers are like idiots. These viral videos are somewhat entertaining and attention grabbing. The difference between the two, the viral videos are crummy while the traditional ads are well plan, do even have subliminal message in it. Both videos are entertaining sometimes the traditional are too serious in introducing their products. The whole point is that they are doing commercials.
The Guys from Qualcomm ads smartphones, they features miniature circus to advertise the smartphones. The shocking moment is the starring, will you believe me if the starring is an insect a “praying mantis”. Praying mantis as the star to introduce a high tech gadget like smartphone is somehow inappropriate. The point is that this insect entertains the viewers and will surely the grab attention of potential buyers. Praying mantis is doing its part to feats to power the smartphone. Inappropriate, who cares, it is still awesome. Praying mantis doing unicycle, it introduces the product very well.
Can’t imagine a top mobile phone “smartphones” is powered by an insect. What if the smartphones is powered by Komodo dragon? Is it still appropriate for the product? Snapdragon smartphones is powered by praying mantis and not Komodo dragon. It is not a perfect message the commercial but Qualcomm hits the ads, awesome work.
If I will judge Qualcomm in its Snapdragon smartphones, I’ll give them F grade. Since they do their part and as we know it is a viral video and hits the advertisement, I’ll give Qualcomm A grade. Because it is one of a kind besides it is very hard to command an insect because they are not human and they don’t have a human like brain.
