Apple has a new logo to be introduced. The logo is very simple yet so beautiful, the iCloud. This is Apple’s newest cloud storage service. It you noticed under the cloud is a metallic platform look alike and the cloud is on top of it. Layer styles, basic vector shapes and the manual drawing tool will help you to imitate the logo of iCloud. Here are some steps:
First step, create a new file with the size 512 x 512 px. After that activate rounded rectangle tool, go to the option bat and set the radius to 75 px, Set its color to #5d5d5d.
Second step, duplicate the layer shape by pressing the Ctrl + J. For the Layers panel, drag the fx icon to the trash icon to delete the Layer Style. To bring up the Layer Style dialog box, double click the layers’ thumbnail, in that moment add inner shadow and overlay the gradient. Use the color combination #8e8e8e, #a5a4a4 and #d8d8d8.
Third step, make a new layer and fill the layer with radial gradient from white to black. And to fit the gradient inside the icon hold the Alt and drag the vector mask from the previous to the current layer.
Fourth step, inside the icon draw a rounded rectangle and set the radius to 75px with color #2a2a2a. Choose the ellipse tool in adding the 2 circle. and set the path mode to Add to shape area from the option bar.
Fifth step, press Ctrl + J to duplicate the cloud’s layer. Press Ctrl + T to re-size the icon (89 percent). Change color to #5d5d5d and reorder the position of the shapes until it is done.
Sixth step, add subtle metal texture on the surface because the design is too flat and clean. So create a new layer. Click the edit and use black for the new layer. Click Filter choose Noise and Add Noise. Click Filter choose Blur and Radial Blur. Select Blur Method: Spin and Quality: Best.
Seventh step, Click Image and choose adjustment and press Ctrl + L. Drag the black slider to the center this way the circular wave will lighten and hold the Alt ot drag the vector mask from the icon.
Eight step, create new layer and create an elliptical selection under the icon. Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the shadow and add another gaussian blur, and you are done.
