iPhone 5 iOS And Galaxy S II: The Battle continues..
The smartphone market is being dominated by big trade names in the industry.
As we all know, these big companies are fighting close to each other for two main reasons. One to get the highest sales and second the big dollars that they have to gain for the company.
You may think it sounds so simply egoistic, but what makes the battle of these two brands so interesting to us?
Well, if you are going to ask our opinion about this escalating rivalry between Apple and Samsung, then we will give you some of our point of views.
First point is product reliability and delineation. Most of the consumers buy products based on its reliability. Here, we mean reliability as the consumers’ confidence on the product brand that it will perform its functions satisfactorily in its operating condition.
For example, when it comes to home entertainment like TVs and home audios, most of us think that Samsung is better in this area. So, we buy Samsung products for our homes.
However, when it comes to computers and computer hardware, we can hardly think of other products than the Apple could offer.
So, we pick Apple products for this area. As you could notice, there is already product delineation for each of the two brands.
The thing that makes it problematic is when Apple will cross into the area of business of Samsung or vice versa.
Second point is product fanaticism that leads to brand loyalty. In any business, it is inevitable to develop fanatics.
One example of it are the die-hard fans of Apple products. Basically, a fanatic is hardly persuaded with other products, as his loyalty to the product name is unbreakable.
No matter what will happen, he will do everything to defend the things he believes on the product.
Our last point is the product extras or freebies. This is the most practical reason for the arising rivalry.
Of course, a wise consumer will have to weigh on the things that can benefit him or her in buying the product. In this case, the downloadable apps and its price are the most considerable factors for consumers to buy the phones.
So, what are the things you have in mind about the rivalry between Apple and Samsung products?
