The presentation of their UX series at the booth of Computex 2011 in Taipei proves their successful collaboration with Intel to produce ‘ultrabook’ that is ‘ultraportable’. We have already mentioned the nature of an ultrabook, so let’s talk about the ultraportables. Apparently, Intel has developed it by utilizing strong yet light aluminum alloy shell finished with polished surfaces.
The inspiration of the design for Asus UX21 takes evidence in expensive timepieces, sharp-edged body architecture, an oversized keyboard, and smartphone-like touchpad. It is also durable due to its reinforced hinges for extended length of functionality.
Asus UX21 only measures a mere 17mm at its thickest point. The UX Series are impressive with its needle-like thinness. And regarding its specifications, it uses the latest 2nd generation Intel Core mobile processors up to the i7 and a SATA 6Gb/s solid-state drives. It also has the Instant On feature that enables the notebook to resume in seconds.
