Here we list the top 8 gadgets or tech products we should have never have bought or wasted our time on.
The digital age has brought with it many inventions and breakthroughs that have made our lives better. But there are also those inventions that weren’t so good. In fact, some of them are bad. If only we had known back then what we know now. But turning back the time and knowing the future are not within our means. That’s why there’s nothing we can do now, but to look back on these obsolete inventions. Here is a list for those gadgets that we should never buy.
1. Furby

They had fur, they had their own names, they had their own language, and no one could resist them at the time. But once the novelty wore off, we all were eventually leaving the craze about Furby, besides new gadgets and toys are better off than this one.
2. HD-DVD
Remember back when you actually purchased these things called discs for movies? Okay, some people still actually do it, but do you remember when it was all about Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD? Some of you likely experienced the Betamax and VHS battle in the mid to late ’70s. It’s just history repeating itself, and we will likely see it again with DRM formats.
But for those who were convinced that HD-DVD was going to be the future of home entertainment, well, think again. These gadgets are expensive although not pretty much obsolete.
3. Everything before the iPod
Before iPod came, an MP3 player that looked like a USB thumb drive was a popular gadget for gaming. However, I can say that it was ugly. It was so inconvenient by having two separate parts for the battery and for the USB portion.
4. Dedicated GPS devices
Built-in GPS devices are already surpassed by the technology on smartphones.
5. Sega CD & Sega 32X
There is no point for these game CDs as there are already downloadable apps and softwares on the internet.
6. Windows ME
Windows Millennium Edition is problematic with bugs and it really looks crappy.
7. Norton Antivirus
Norton is supposed to provide antivirus solutions for Windows computers, yet didn’t prevent huge virus outbreaks from occurring nor infecting computers despite constant updates. Its effectiveness will always be in question.
8. America Online
America Online makes the users very disappointed as it has a limited portal page, horrible email interface, and bombardment by compact discs ruined the overall experience. It was also sad that the company insists on high charges.
