If iPhone 5 came and it actually was thicker than iPhone 4, would you be surprised? You should, if history has showed us anything, it’s that Apple tends to release their phones thinner and smaler each time.
As we all know, the next generation iphone is already a hot issue across the globe.
For months, we have been hearing speculations on how it will look like and its other features. But recently, we heard how the white iPhone 4 was thicker than the black model by 0.2mm; this is because the white casing originally caused issues for the device’s internal sensors. Therefore, a different material had to be used, which got us thinking that the iPhone 5 might be thicker.
Usually, Apple‘s new products are slimmer, lighter and sleeker than the last, so it would be surprising to see the iPhone 5 arrive and be thicker than the iPhone 4. However, with the competing high-end smartphones that pushes the boundaries of mobile technology, will Apple be able to release a new iPhone with better specs than the last while keeping a small form-factor?
To be honest, we think that the next iPhone will be marginally thinner than the last, we have seen this when we look at the iPad and iPad 2. We know that Apple can squeeze all of the Apple A5 power into a skinny casing.
As Apple make such a big deal about their products being slimmer, faster and lighter than the last it would be a huge shock to see an overweight-looking iPhone 5, but would that put you off? Or would you understand that to make it better than the last one it had to be thicker? Let us know your ideas in the comments section below.
