Recently, a brand new racing game has just made its way on the Apple App Store, which promises awesome features such as a Slow-Motion mode and Nitro. The game is called iRace3D from feuerware. This arcade-style 3D racing app offers touch and tilt based accelerometer controls.
Furthermore, the goal of iRace3D game is very simple. Just drive as fast as you possibly can along the highway until your time runs out. The longer the distance you travel within the given time limit, the higher your score will become. Players will occasionally pass points throughout the game, which will then provide them with an additional ten seconds time bonus. Users can also collect items to boost their energy bar. Once they have boosted their energy bar, users are able to activate the turbo or slow-motion mode.
They can also boost their speed by tailgating the driver in front of them. However, you do have to be really careful not to crash, as your speed will drop quite significantly.
As noted over on the itunes.apple.com website, the app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, but does require your device to be running iOS 3.0 or above. So, significantly arcade-style racing games still has its special place in iOS that is really enjoyable.
