Purchasing and driving a car are two essentials yet it call for a double security nowadays. We all know about the previous recall of General Motors on GM Chevy Cruz units, but there is yet another GM Chevy Cruz recall for the 2011 model, this time it is due to a possible problem with the steering shafts that are not being installed correctly. This aggravates the anxiety because from the last recall, the problem was to do with the steering wheel that was also not being attached properly.

In this latest recall General Motors will be recalling 150,000 models. The units will undergo inspection to each vehicle. Accordingly, they will inspect once again the shaft covers and shall make it certain that they were correctly fitted. Eventually, when the recalled vehicles are already in the garage, 120,000 of them will be ran through again to see if the automatic transmission shift linkage was installed properly.

Despite the reports on Torque News that there have been no incidents due to these recalls, you should be careful still. In fact, the NHTSA advises all owners of the recent GM Chevy Cruz models that you contact your local dealer to check if you are affected by this recall.

At this time, there is no use for pointing fingers nor condemning the quality of the company’s service. Although it is always the customers right to react on these recalls, we are still bound to opt for more reasonable choices like being more careful in purchasing cars and driving in it with extra precautions.
