The ASUS Eee PC 1015B and ASUS Eee PC 1215B netbook that was first spotted back in CES 2011 is now available for pre-order. The new platform features either an E-Series or C-Series Fusion Accelerated Processing Unit, better known as an APU, which enable visually rich, next-generation, enhanced PC experiences even on small form factor devices while facilitating extended real-world battery life.
ASUS 1015B Netbooks are available in white, black, blue, and red and the 1215B will be available in black, silver, and red.
The 1015B offers 1.2GHz AMD C-30 single-core processor and an AMD Radeon 6250 graphics whereas 1215B is powered with a 1.0GHz AMD C-50 dual-core processor and AMD Radeon 6250 graphics. The TDP power draw of the processors is 18W and 9W, respectively, making the new Eee PC’s incredibly power efficient for the amount of computing power offered.
The netbooks also offers multitude of ports and connection methods. The ASUS 1215B has USB 3.0 port, which support data transfer rates up to ten times faster than USB 2.0, along with Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n Wi-Fi to keep users wirelessly connected. Both models also feature an HDMI port, enabling full 1080p HD playback to a bigger screen.
The pricing for Netbooks is $290 for the C50 10-inch 1015B, $380 for the C-50 12-inch 1215B and $450 for the E-350 1215B. The Netbooks will be available in US in April 2011.
