Apple Shut Down “Gay Cure” App.
An online petition was signed by more than 100, 000 people to remove the alleged anti-gay app from iTunes store.
The said “gay cure app” was created by Exodus International, a Christian organization which was released in February 15 with a 4+ (contain no objectionable material) approval rating.
However, the Change.org, a website supported by a non-profit LGBT organization disagreed on the contents of this app that led to their call for its removal.
Apple, finally took action and removed this app from the marketplace. Their action towards this petition is being compared to the previous petition by the same organization that had 7,000 signs. Apple said at that time that the reason they removed the app is due to its violation of the developer guidelines.
