Opera announced that they are in the process of launching new versions of their famous Opera Mini Browser for all major smartphones as well as the Apple iPhones. It’s said that there would be an official announcement during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain next week. This is the first time Opera is approved by Apple to be placed in the iPad App Store and its big achievement for Opera as far they are concerned.
Opera also is to launch an updated version of the Opera Mobile OS for the Symbian and Android and they claim that this browser consumes less power. Another important feature is that Opera Mobile and Opera Mini help to reduce the bandwidth, which would help unclog networks. No other information has been revealed so far about the browser so far.
It is said that around 105 million people are using Opera’s browser today. Indeed Opera is the first external web browser to be accepted by Apple. Usually iPad comes out with Apple’s own Safari. So the users are in high expectation that Opera would be bringing a real surprise for them to compete with other web browsers and they are waiting for the Mobile World Congress.
