Following the launch of its online store in Spain in September 2010, Sweden-based clothing retailer H & M said that entering the U.S. with e-commerce website in early 2012.
In a statement, CEO Karl-Johan Persson said the business was working on the relaunch of its existing online store, with an improved shopping experience and better functionality.
The addition of e-commerce store for the U.S. will H & M catalog and online-sales presence in nine countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, the UK and U.S.. The ultimate goal, the statement said, is “the offer of online and catalog sales in all markets for H & M in the future. ” In general, the company looks bigger than China, the UK and U.S. expanding their markets by 2011.
