Barnes & Noble NOOK for Android Updated to v2.5

nook Android

Barnes & Noble has just updated their NOOK app for the Android operating system and brings a bunch of useful new features to the eBook reader.  Nook for Android has been updated to v2.5 and along with it came some much welcomed changes, read below to find out more. For those interested in the NOOKcolor. Read this to see the NOOKcolor Receive Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

The biggest of which is a new grid view that will allow users to show more of their titles on-screen at once. Ths feature is obviously tailored to users of large devices such as the Galaxy Tab or the Motorola XOOM. They’ve also added the ability to add titles to your wishlist and a new progress meter when downloading books.

As you know, with NOOK for Android you can access to Barnes & Noble’s expansive NOOK Bookstore of more than two million digital titles, with the vast majority priced at $9.99 or less. Go ahead and update in the Android Market, the update is live now. I did want to point out the NOOKcolor is an odd situation because it is now an extremely popular device because of it having root access, the Android Market, and custom ROM’s like Honeycomb 3.0 I posted above.
