WebAssign is a service task assignment was initially developed at the University of North Carolina State. Some disciplines, including mathematics, chemistry, statistics, physics and biology. WebAssign seems to have been down for several hours and there is so far no news of when the issues have to be fixed.
WebAssign partners with publishers of textbooks, provide online versions of the homework problems found at the end of each chapter. There are also utilities that allow teachers to create their own questions. While the questions are based on questions from textbooks, the number of questions can be random, so that the traps are not recommended as the answers may vary. WebAssign can be configured to recognize both numeric and text responses, and has a variety of sorting options.
Students must pay a periodic fee for the use of the service (teachers are free). This fee must be paid each semester / quarter of each course uses WebAssign. new copies of textbooks often include the registration fee as part of the total cost of textbooks, however, used textbooks do not include this.
