Verizon iPhone: Verizon’s Media Event is today; do you expect iPhone from Verizon?

verizon iphone

Apple iPhone from Verizon has been rumored for a last few weeks and it has got on the Peak of it, as reported earlier Verizon is expected to announce its own branded iPhone 4 today in New York City and it will soon be available on Verizon’s network. The Press Conference is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Pacific/11:00 a.m Eastern.

If the all rumors related to this matter happen, first it will be a hit to AT&T’s iPhone sale; I think as a result, AT&T has already dropped the price of its iPhone to $49. This is $50 less than previous price.  AT&T is trying to keep their current customers from switching to Verizon.

Apple would ship about 9 million iPhones this year through a partnership with Verizon, Munster predicted. That’s in addition to 11 million units through AT&T. He estimated that AT&T shipped 15.6 million of the devices last year.

Secondly, It could affect the Google’s Android based phones sales, According to a person familiar with the matter. A Verizon iPhone may grab about 2 million Android phone shipments a year, said Dan Hays, partner at management consultant firm PRTM. Gartner Inc. says 20.5 million Android devices were sold in the third quarter.

“A lot of people who bought Android phones were buying it in lieu of an iPhone because they couldn’t get one on the Verizon network,” said Charlie Wolf, a Needham & Co. analyst in New York.

Anyway, more exciting news we could hear later today after the Media Event, I think people are already impatient to have an iPhone from Verizon network. What do you think about iPhone From Verizon?feel free to share your thoughts and expectations from Verizon branded iphone.

AT&T will get what they deserve. After treating the consumer with strong-arm tactics and less than great service (customer service), AT&T should now fell the pain.
It’ll be a happy day for consumer to receive “please stay with us” calls. Me…I don’t think they care enough to make such calls.
