A new smartphone running on android 2.1 is heading to Thailand later this month namely Spriiing Smartphone. The device looks good with user-friendly QWERTY keyboard.
The Device features a smallish 2.6-inch 320 x 240 resolution screen that is resistive touch. The smartphone measures 96.4mm x 62.2mm x 12mm and weighs 110g. The processor inside the smartphone is a Qualcomm MSM7225 running at 528MHz.
The phone also features 512MB of ROM and 256MB of RAM with user storage that can be expanded via a microSD card up to 16GB. The battery is a 930mAh unit expected to last 290 hours on standby and 180 minutes of talk per charge.
The camera on the back of the phone is a 3MP unit with LED flash and the phone supports an FM tuner and supports several digital audio and video formats. Onboard sensors include a light sensor, a digital compass, and an accelerometer. Other features include GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi router function, and several SPRiiiNG apps. The device operates on HSPA/WCDMA networks along with GSM networks
More interestingly, though, the handset was apparently designed in Sweden and manufactured by Huawei — in fact, it’s got “In connection with Ideos” silkscreened on the back, and Ideos is the brand that Huawei’s been pushing this year for its Android-powered gear.
