PlayStation App for iPhone now goes on Download in App Store

PlayStation App for iPhone

The PlayStation app announced in December for iPhone has emerged in the app store and now available to download for iOS devices. Since its release the app has slowly been climbing the top free apps list in the UK.

The program will let you view your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status. You’ll also be able to browse through the catalogue of games for the PS3 and PSP via PSN. The interface seems to be quite clean and polished, although far from being native on the iOS platform.

The app is at first available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, and also allows users to catch up on news from the official PlayStation Blog.

From the official release:

“Take the incredible world of PlayStation everywhere you go.

The official PlayStation app is your one-stop source to keep you ahead of the game, no matter where you are.

Sign in with your PlayStation Network Sign in ID. If you don’t have a PSN account, you can create one here eu.playstation.com/registration.

In this version (1.0) you can:
– Keep up to date with your trophies, friends’ games and online status.
– Check out all the latest games, news and hardware.
– Read all exciting announcements from PlayStation.Blog”
