Firecore, software developers aTV Flash for Apple TV have come up with a new product that allows users to jailbreak your second generation of Apple TV. Seas0nPass call, the application would allow users to install custom IPSW firmware for your Apple TV. While Seas0nPass is new, fireCore is a name familiar to owners of Apple TV. This group also launched aTV Flash, a software package that adds streaming services like Last.fm, a Web browser HTML 5 and more for the Apple TV. The latest version of Flash ATV (black) is in beta and is available as a pre-order for $ 19.95. It requires a jailbroken second generation of Apple TV.
What are comprehensive jailbreak? Unfortunately, very little at this point, but one version a bit buggy serpentine Plex media and SSH access to the box. With the hard drive removed, there is very little space on the Apple TV, and while previous jailbreaks has allowed him to upload a non-iTunes video device, the new homebrew applications only allow file transfers previously unavailable.

The tool was designed for the second generation of Apple TV only, so please do not try this with your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Seas0nPass current version is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 or later. A Windows version is under development and will be available soon.
