Google has been in the news for all good things in 2011 and it seems that Google has planned well for this year. It has unveiled a mobile phone application that allows users to translate their chats instantly. The application can be run on its Andorid Operating system to allow translation of English to Spanish and vice versa. The company says that the service would be available to the users in 18 months. The system works on by recording the conversation of the users, and the records would be send to the company’s servers, the translation process is done in the server and its send back the audio translation.
The rumor is that Google has launched this application to give tight competition for Apple’s iPhone application called WorldLens. The newly unveiled ‘Alpha’ trial version works only in Spanish and English but Google expects to add new languages soon. After the great success of its online text translator, the company is in the new mission of chat translates. The online text translator covers more than 52 languages of the world. So the Google lovers can expect in the case of voice chat translation too.
