Google after opening its online bookstore last month went to another step in competing with Amazone.com by acquiring eBook technologies, a company which is famous for making digital reading projects.

The Internet book store, which opened Monday on 6th December 2010 in the U.S., draws upon a portion of the 15 million printed books that Google has scanned into its computers during the past six years. About 4,000 publishers, including CBS Corp.’s Simon & Schuster Inc., Macmillan Random House Inc. and Pearson PLC’s Penguin Group, are also allowing Google to carry many of their recently released books in the new store. Thus this move would surely deliver richer reading experience on tablets, electronic readers and other portable devices.

The Google and eBook technologies claim that this acquisition will provide a first-class reading experience to the people whole around the world. The Google has been able to become a booming e-book market within a month in US, which was dominated by Amazon.
