The US computer manufacturing leader Dell has announced the plans to launch a new touch screen tablet and Smartphone which are supported by Google’s Android software. It was announced on the occasion of the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Los Vegas where thousands of buyers and sellers come together from all over the world.
It is a new move from Dell to introduce Google Android in their the new phone, the Venue and the tablet, the Streak 7, because last year the company launched its smart phone with the support of software of Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system.
The new Streak 7 tablet has featured with a seven-inch (17.8-centimeter) screen, slightly larger than the display on the first Streak the company released last year. The company said that the Streak 7 was designed for the faster Internet speeds of US wireless carrier T-Mobile’s 4G network. This would surely attract lot of buyers for Dell’s new gadgets.
The Vice President of Dell’s Mobility Product Group announced that “With its dual-core processor, seven-inch multi-touch screen and dual cameras, the new Dell Streak 7 tablet takes full advantage of the unrivaled power of T-Mobile’s 4G network”.
