Dell Adamo Notebook a MacBook Air competitor gets a further price cut by $100; the device’s price had been dropped early by $200 from a price tag of $999. Now the Notebook is available for $799 after the discount of $100.
Unfortunately, the price isn’t all Dell is slashing: last October the Adamo was sporting a 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo SL9600 processor and 4GB of DDR3-800 memory, now it’s functioning on a 1.4GHz Core Duo 2 SU9400 and 2GB of DDR3-800 (with no upgrade option that we can find). Compared to the Air, the Dell laptop has a slightly larger 13.4-inch screen and is a bit heftier, at just under 4 pounds. The new 13-inch Air weighs just less than 3 pounds.
