A few hours after opening the Mac store on the application, software crackers have found a method that could lead to piracy of Mac software application store. The method is to copy some of the resources of the package of a free and implanting them in a copy of a payment application obtained from another source (for example, the developer’s own web site). If not corrected, software pirates could crack and possibly redistribute almost any application in the Mac store application.
“Cracking” or creating an unlicensed copy of a narrow application is nothing new, but developers who rely on the method now in danger of Apple to ensure that the machines run only authorized applications to buy may suffer as unethical users help themselves to “free ” versions of applications that do not normally have paid another licensing scheme. The specific technique is detailed in a post on Pastebin.com (unrelated specific position), and Apple is aware of the violation.
