Velocity started shipping of its new Micro Cruz Tablet T301 powered with Android 2.0,it is a 7-inch Tablet Device that comes with a 800×600 Capacitive Touchscreen Display and a 4:3 aspect ratio, You might think that 4:3 is outmoded compared to 16:10 and 16:9 wide formats, but they’re better for reading eBooks and browsing the web (when pixel count is this small compared to laptop screens every dot matters).
For those unconcerned with the luxuries present in Eclair and Froyo, there’s an 802.11n WiFi radio, built-in Kindle app and a user replaceable Li-Ion battery that could last up to ten hours on a good day, it also features 256 MB RAM (like the iPad), 4 GB of internal memory and comes with a 4 GB SD card in the package. There are apps that can be downloaded from Velocity’s website, though it’s not going to make it anyting bigger .
It’s just $249.99 at Amazon, If you’re not really into reading that much you can go for the Cruz T103, the one with 16:9 aspect ratio screen, which offers 512 MB RAM, and supports additional audio and video codecs. The Cruz T103 retails for only 267$.
