SwiftKey, the intelligent text prediction app for Google Android smartphones, received a significant update Wednesday that adds a new HD skin, UI improvements and five new languages. It’s designed to improve SwiftKey’s look on high resolution screens, such as those found on tablets.
Update also features support for Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Norwegian and Polish, as well as a set of Scandinavian keyboard layouts. TouchType’s CEO Jon Reynolds said: “We’ve worked closely with UI experts to create a stunning high.”
SwiftKey brings an innovative solution to the problem of typing accurately on a smartphone, relying on powerful language technology to infer both the word a user is typing and their likely next word. Using these techniques, SwiftKey users can skip whole words as they write, saving key-pressesTouchType said they were pleased to reveal a range of festive treats for SwiftKey users.
TouchType, the company behind SwiftKey, has also doubled the trial period from 14 days to a month for the holidays. And the full app is available for $3.99 if you decide you need a new on-screen keyboard in your life.
