EA Need for Speed World1

Electronic Arts announced today that The racing MMO Need for Speed World has surpassed 3 million registered users. Although the majority of the expanded user base can be attributed to the change to a free-to-play business model, the recent localization of the game into French, Polish, Russian and Spanish likely contributed to the rise in licensed drivers, too.

Also EA did some detailed changes to the game, including language support for new regions and a few new features. The new features include a dynamic day/night cycle and a new vehicle performance tuning system. Using the new performance tuning system, players upgrade and tune their vehicles with new car parts such as tuned engines and suspension systems. If you’ve never played the game, it’s a free to play PC racing MMO, optimized for everything from your crummy old laptop to high-end power rigs.
