The one-off Jaguar C-X75 concept is now on public display at the Jaguar Boutique in the Berkeley Hotel, London. Fresh from the Los Angeles show, now the UK public gets its first opportunity to see the jet-powered hybrid in the metal as it goes on display at the Berkeley hotel in London until New Year’s Eve.
“I’m really pleased we’re able to put the C-X75 on display in such a prominent place in London for a short while,” said design director Ian Callum. “We’re tremendously proud of this Jaguar concept car and what it stands for, so it’s great to be able to bring it to our customers in the UK.”. The Jaguar C-X75 concept is a celebration of 75 years of Jaguar. It is an electric supercar, capable of speeds in excess of 200mph, whose batteries are charged by two mini jet turbines mounted in the rear.
An experimental concept, Jaguar is currently exploring the feasibility of bringing the car to production reality in some form or other. The British firm recently announced a partnership with specialist company Bladon Jets to develop the micro gas turbine technology. The car’s styling is strongly tipped to echo the shape of models to come from Jaguar, and these cars will very likely include aircraft-inspired interior controls similar to those in the C-X75.
