Google Nexus S Drops Price to £430 in UK

google nexus s

Nexus S which is now available for pre-orders in the U.K. via mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse, is now pre-selling for just £429.99 or £120 less on price. Only a limited number of handsets are likely to be delivered in time for Christmas, but the good news is that anyone who has already pre-ordered will be charged the lower price.

The Nexus S went up for pre-order in the UK back on December 13, priced at £549.95 contract-free. Meanwhile the contract price for a free Nexus S has also seen a cut; down from a £35 per month agreement – over two years – to £30 if you want the free phone. If you’re one who isn’t afraid of long term contracts, make note that the Nexus S can also be had for free with a subscription of at least £30 ($47) per month.

The phone, made by Samsung, is now a better deal compared to the Samsung Galaxy S, the phone on which it is based, one which can be had for £380 including delivery, only £50 less although a “refurbished” will cost well under £300.

That apart, now that Gingerbread’s source code is out, there’s already a custom ROM available for Google‘s Nexus S, and for HTC HD2 too! Yes, the Windows Phone running Windows Mobile v6.5. It is confirmed that they aren’t stable builds just yet
