Fujitsu started shipping of its new Lifebook T580 convertible Tablet PC, is now available for purchase for US consumers and it has arrived with a starting price tag of $1,149. You can grab your piece of the hardware from Fujitsu’s online shop.
The Fujitsu Lifebook T580 was announced back in September and it will be made available for all regions shortly. The Lifebook T580 is a perfect on-the-go tool with more connectivity options, double processing power, high-security, and large disk space and memory, claims the company.
The Fujitsu LifeBook T580 tablet is set with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 pixel multitouch capacitive display and an active digitizer for pen input. The ultraportable is propelled by an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor, depending on the option chosen. Also under the hood is a minimum of 2GB DDR3 800 MHz SDRAM (expandable up to 8GB), a 160 GB, 5400 rpm hard drive minimum ( with an option to opt for up to 320GB) or a 64/128GB Solid State Drive. Other standard features include 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, webcam, a 3-cell 2900mAh /6-cell 5800mAh battery, Computrace BIOS, hard drive shock protection, fingerprint sensor, spill-resistant keyboard, light sensor and a smart card slot. The Fujitsu newbie runs on the Windows 7 Professional OS.
As for the battery life, the 3-cell is said to be up to 3 hours and 25 minutes and the 6-cell is said to be able to offer up to 6 hours and 50 minutes.
Basic model is powered by an Intel Core i3-380UM processor; the other, higher-end model will set you back by a price of $1,399 and is equipped with an Intel Core i5-560UM processor. The express buy model is also noted as coming with a free extra right now. Those who make the purchase will be able to choose between either a 500GB DISKGO 2.5 Portable USB Hard Drive or a Coby CAM5001 Digital HD Camcorder Camera, both of which come for free.
