A new game Dungeons & Dragons come in downloadable formats early next year, and Atari Games announced today Bedlam. Anyway, the gameplay itself looks pretty good, especially for a downloadable title. According to Atari, the “action-packed RPG gameplay lets you play solo and co-op up to four players.”
Titled Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale, it pits players against the forces of evil as they attempt to conquer the Dalelands. It looks to be an action multiplayer title, though it’s not clear how much in the way of RPG elements it will include. This is the second D&D game to be announced this year, the other being the revival of Neverwinter. The latter is also a multiplayer title being developed in conjunction with Cryptic.
“Players use intuitive fight against pick-up-and-play combined with a wide assortment of weapons, feats and powers to defeat a wide range of deadly foes. Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale boasts an array of stunning levels and exploration opportunities located in environments rich in detail. ”
Daggerdale is currently being developed for XBLA, PSN and PC. Look for it in spring 2011.
