The Bold 9780 currently appears on RIM’s official website only in black and white. But now the device has been spotted decked out totally in bright red before but now we also have it on video. I am not sure if this is not just a Colorware or other aftermarket job but it looks nicely done.
No official details of the same have been released on the model in the video, and are tainted to be a pre-release handset after witnessing an access to engineering screens. RIM did just release the Torch in white and red variants so it could be possible that they want to spice up the 9780 with more than the white and black options the 9700 had. It does not look like normal RIM designs since they usually leave a little chrome but the latest 9800 in red ditches the chrome too.
However, the handset was not featuring any brand in the online video, which suggests that it could be a pre-release handset. The BalckBerry Bold 9780, which is being touted as an iPhone 4 killer, is the first to combine a touchscreen with a physical QWERTY keyboard. It features 512MB of installed memory that is expandable to 32GB with a MicroSD card, a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and impressive talk time of 7 hours. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 will go on sale on 17th of November.
