Nokia Betalabs team introduced a new experimental app ‘Nokia Connectivity Analyzer’, Its a network utility app that diagnose and analyze your device WLAN and Packet Data connections. If you one of those who have hard times to understand why your WLAN connection is not working at home this new utility from Nokia beta labs could be right solution for you.
Nokia Connectivity Analyzer is a handy and powerful network test utility that provides three kinds of utilities to diagnose and analyze WLAN and Packet Data connections and automatically identify common problems.
The basic feature is Connectivity Diagnostics Test that with just a couple of clicks connects application to a selected access point and performs a diagnostics test. In case of any problems with the connectivity, you are informed about it with troubleshooting tips.
But that’s not all of course, furtherome there are aditional two features for more advanced users and developers.
The first one is Connection Observer, a graphical presentation of WLAN and packet data connectivity and events releated to it helps you to analyze WLAN networks and how roaming is performed e.g. when using VoIP.
The gathered data can be stored into a .csv file for further analysis. More advanced users and application developers can also capture the IP traffic of the device into a pcap file.
