Today, Nissan introduced the New Mobility Concept (NMC), which in fact is none other than the Renault Twizy ZEConcept bearing the insignia of the Japanese manufacturer. Still hoping to become a pioneer in the commercialization of electric propulsion vehicles, the duo Renault / Nissan continues to innovate and at a rate of crazy. Moreover, they are first to market with a car offered to the general public fully powered by electricity, the Nissan LEAF.
This is not the first time that two manufacturers share the same model. Example the last Paris Motor Show, Peugeot showed its next electric car on its stand, the Peugeot iOn, while exposing the Citroen C-Zero, identical in all respects. And these two electric vehicles were based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Three different names for a car just different for each manufacturer. The first electric model manufacturer’s serial, Nissan Leaf, will be available from December in Europe.
Nissan has developed a very simple prototype. For the Japanese, this Nissan New Mobility Concept is innovative, simple, safe and clean. Again, not much different from its sister Renault Twizy. Easy to drive and park as a two-wheeler, but with increased security. Own, needless to say, the machine is totally electric. Still, Nissan does not communicate on the characteristics of its concept, especially on the engine. The two vehicles are identical, except that the Japanese version will be assigned specific privileges and above subject to the laws of the country. Thus, he will have parking spaces that will be reserved for a privileged approach to urban and carpool lanes during peak periods. The dates of this small marketing vehicle in Japanese soil have not been announced. However, one can easily imagine that the release of the Nissan should take a few months that of his twin French.
