Gran Turismo 5 will Outsell Kinect in Japan?

PS3 exclusive racing game Gran Turismo 5 might be released a week after Kinect hits Japan on November 20, but the game already looks set to run over Microsoft’s motion control system this holiday season.

Apparently, it seems that Kinect may too suffer the same fate, as gamers line up to play Gran Turismo 5 and neglect Kinect entirely. While this doesn’t necessarily mean Kinect will have a poor launch in Japan, it’s not a good foreshadowing of things to come either.

Meanwhile in the West, Kinect appears to be on its way to being this holiday’s hot gift. Because of the size of the American and European markets, low Kinect sales in Japan will not necessarily impact whether Japanese game developers make titles for the Kinect or not. In 2009, several of the country’s biggest developers discussed their visions of Kinect, which was then titled Project Natal.

    KINECT is a flop in EU and JAPAN as well as USA

    GT5 will not only outsell KINECT in Japan . it will outsell all X360 games ww based on just 1st week EU sales

    Awww…..are the little 360 fangirls on here to cry? Oh dear………get a life you moron. Kinect has already flopped, it’s only sold 25% of what the Playstation MOVE has done in The Americas and Europe and it will get completely obliterated in Japan by both the MOVE and Gran Turismo 5.

    Japanese consumers don’t buy American products because American producst are usually a load of crap with last – gen graphics like the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 is DEAD, Microsoft are DEAD!!!
