Blizzard’s upcoming PC game Diablo III appears to be headed to consoles, if recent job postings by the company are accurate. According to the company’s Jobs Directory, Blizzard is currently looking to fill lead designer, lead programmer, and senior producer roles very specifically for a console version of Diablo III.
A console port has never been denied, though this is the first confirmation we’ve heard of it existing. Judging by the senior roles that are being filled, it would appear that the port is in the very early stages of development.
Today, Blizzard has issued an official statement on its Battle.net forums, clarifying that “this is not an announcement of a console title,” and that the team is “currently exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles.”
