aaxa laser pocket projector v2 for iphone 1

AAXA Technologies has just introduced its newest L1 v2 laser pico projector, successor to the original L1. The updated design improves the performance of L1 v2 by increasing the thermal efficiency of the PCOS laser light engine. It packs unique three-color laser light source for producing images with amazing color saturation that are always in focus .It is compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch, in addition to portable gaming systems, computers, and digital cameras.

The L1 v2 Laser Pico Projector is the second iteration of the world’s first laser-powered pocket projector. At about the size of a small cell phone, the L1 v2 allows the user to take their presentations anywhere they go. With its recently improved efficiency, it will also deliver 800×600 resolution at 20 lumens, for 1.5 hours. Because it is a laser, rather than a lamp, it doesn’t require refocusing for different distances.

The flexibility offered by the L1 v2 laser light source opens up a new world of possibilities in projection applications. The focus-free operation allows for rapid changes in projection size, simultaneous far and near surface projection, angled projection, and projection on curved and other non-flat surfaces. Its ultra-efficient optical engine enables the L1 v2 to produce rich images even in less-than-dark environments – and color-rich images up to 50″ in dark environments.

Like most pico projectors on the market, the L1 v2 includes media playback capability supporing AVI, ASF, WMV, MPG video; MP3, WAV, AAC audio, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP images as well as popular document formats such as DOC, XLS, PPT, PDF. The projector USB port and is able to reading files directly off a standard USB thumb drive. It packs a mono 1W speaker and onboard 1.5 hour battery.

At $449 ($399 on pre-order), the L1 v2 isn’t cheap. But if you will use it for business presentations, you can probably write it off as a business expense anyway. The iPhone and iPod Touch require a separate adapter, which costs $24.99.
