Kanye West’s “Runaway” film premiered on MTV and BET last night and which West released on VEVO yesterday, is over 30 minutes long. It’s the dramatic saga of a phoenix who lands on earth. After he finds her, Kanye tries to adapt the phoenix to his world.
“Runaway” is a 35-minute opus starring himself and model Selita Ebanks. In the film, Ebanks plays a phoenix (as in the mythical creature) who crashes to Earth and gets saved by West (who plays a vaguely fictionalized version of himself). The two strike up a relationship that ultimately ends in tragedy. Along the way, the film tosses out all sorts of gorgeously rendered scenes and a handful of mind-bending tracks from West’s hotly-anticipated upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
The video made its debut on 23rd October in the United States and its going to be an excellent gift for all the fans who have waited so long for this video. Its sure that they would not be disappointed. The video shows the story of an injured fallen phoenix which have been portrayed through his music. The story revolves around it, how the music and love revives her and strengthens her to bring her back to her own planet. The role of the injured phoenix has been played by Selite Ebanks, the famous hot lingerie model. Ebanks, who had previously also featured in The Dream’s “Make up Bag” music video, appears in the video having six inch gold colored fingernails and wearing a coat of feathers.
Kenye West, 33, took a lot of heat recently, especially after his “rude” interruption of Taylor Swift after she had won the 2009 VMA award. According to West, the next morning, he received many hate messages. Whether you love or hate West, you have to give the man credit for the talent he has displayed in creating this “Runaway” film from scratch.
