When the world’s largest indoor theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, opens to the public, thousands of enthusiasts are expected to get treated to an intense multi-sensory experience of the fast lane. So that the Ferrari fans around the world now have a new destination to their list of must-visits. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s only Ferrari-themed amusement park, offers its visitors adrenaline-pumping rides and an intense multi-sensory experience that makes it a must-visit for enthusiasts, fans and families. The park has on offer amazing indoor and outdoor attractions, including Formula Rossa – the fastest roller coaster on the planet. “Ferrari World was set up to host approximately 9000 guests with a stay time of between six to seven hours,” said Andy Keeling, Park Manager of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
It is the world’s first Ferrari theme park and features some of the most thrilling rides on the planet. Situated at the impressive Yas Island next to the Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, it is hard not to be impressed by its sheer size and scale. Built on an 86,000sqm site, other rides include the V12 flume ride, the G-Force tower (accelerating visitors to a height of 62m) and the Fiorono GT Challenge, which is a hair-raising, if all too brief, rollercoaster ride. Less extreme fun comes in the form of Ferrari-themed rides and attractions, which take visitors on a trip through Ferrari’s proud history since the manufacturer was established in 1929.
The site of attractions is located next to the Formula 1 circuit of the city and 30 minutes from the urban area. Visitors can enjoy 20 different attractions during their visit. Facilities include a museum that traces the history of the automotive presenting classic and sports cars today. Another interesting place is the restaurant “Mamma Rosella”, where diners can enjoy dishes preferred by Ferrari autopilots. For racing enthusiasts, the park offers the fastest rollercoaster in the world (150 mph), there visitors can feel firsthand the feeling of riding a racing car. Another must-see attraction is a tower of 62 meters in height which will challenge even the most daring.
“The park just 4 years ago was a project, an idea, maybe even a too ambitious idea, is now a fantastic reality. Everyone at Ferrari is grateful to the people who have worked without rest for the last two years to make it happen,” said Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo during the Ferrari’s preview to the international press, as quoted by Armmanilaan Barari of Motor Ward.
“This park combines innovative technology and tradition, it is dedicated not only to Ferrari fans and car enthusiastic, but to the whole family; there are attractions for kids, men and women. It has also the real touch of Ferrari: how things really are for us, with our exclusive GT road cars and racing cars, but also our history and our cultural background.”
