The Dexter Season 5 Episode 1 – My Bad starts with a bang, beginning right where season four left off: with the murder of Dexter’s wife by the Trinity Killer – and Dexter discovering her body after he‘s already killed her killer!
The fifth season opens with Dexter dealing with the aftermath of Rita’s murder. He is now a suspect in his wife’s murder. Dexter needs to balance his decision that will affect everyone around him. Meanwhile, Quinn concludes that Rita’s death doesn’t match Trinity’s MO, and steps up to help Debra in a time of trouble.
At Rita’s funeral, Dexter makes Cody and Astor understand what happened to their mother. Found dead in a terrible condition in the season 4 finale, Joey Quinn investigates Rita’s murder case so as to know what actually took place. Season 5 episode 1 tries to answer some of the questions lingering in the viewers’ minds regarding the circumstances of Rita’s death. Will Dexter escape from the situation? Or will he come out of the guilt of being associated with his wife’s death?
Dexter turns from a happily married husband to a remorseful single dad trying to bring his life back to normal. He has to face a lot of difficulties and unwanted situations in the process. Later on, when all his attempts fail, Dexter hires a nanny, so, that he could focus on his next victim.
