Wachovia Bank has announced that there will be several fee changes to their banking system. These changes seem to be sweeping changes across a portion of the banking industry as Bank of America also seems to be doing a similar fee adjustments. Know that these changes won’t affect Wachovia Online Banking.
Here are some of the changes being made at Wachovia;
- A $2 fee will be charged for customers who receive paper statements via mail with images of canceled checks. Switching to online banking accounts will free you from this extra fee, or you could ask not to have attached images with the statements.
- Wachovia will not provide with waived fees for people using other ATM’s than Wachovia. In the past the bank did so and waived fees that could go up to$3. In a statement, bank’s spokesman John Dunn said: “With more than 12,000 combined ATMs around the country, including about 200 in Charlotte, Wachovia believes customers can find a machine to meet their needs,”
People prefer using Wachovia Online Banking for the reason that it is simple to use. According to users, there are no lengthy and complicated procedures for paying bills, checking account details, and staying up to date with other details.
According to reports, Wachovia has altered some of their policies and fees for their online banking services. Wachovia now would charge all those who are not taking advantage of the online services and still using old paper methods.
It has been reported that all those who are using ATMs would no more need to pay any fee when using ATMs other than those of Wachovia. Authorities at Wachovia took this step to respond to latest banking regulations.
