GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Release Date Updated

greenpois0n ios 4 1 jailbreak

The Greenpois0n iPhone iOS 4.1 jailbreak tool isn’t out yet, but fortunately we have an update from the creators of Greenpois0n. As reported from RedmondPie, Chronic Dev-Team are the guys responsible for the release of Greenpois0n and they have posted an update regarding the release over on their official website.

Here is the statement in full for you: ”Many people in the comments are asking for a progress update. Any kind of update that we could actually give would be too technical for anyone to understand anyway, not to mention potentially reveal the exploit. Just know that things are going swimmingly and we are working as hard as we can.”

They have updated to make their fans calm and be patient, as they will release the jailbreak as and when the work will be complete. However, they have not given any ETA for the release of jailbreak of iOS 4.1. Here is exactly what the hackers from the Chronic Dev Team have updated.

Those who don’t know, Greenpois0n is based on SHAtter, which is a low level bootrom exploit unlike userland exploit JailbreakMe, that can’t be fixed by Apple without a new hardware release of iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and the iPod touches. Just firmware update  will not going to patch the bootrom exploit. The complete makeover of the Greenpois0n portal also hints towards the possible jailbreak release in few days. But, no ETA has been cited by hackers apart from confirming that all jailbreaks on iOS 4.1 need 2 exploits, a tethered exploit and an untethered exploit.

There are hundreds of reasons for why people jailbreak their prized and very costly iPhone jailbreak, but the main reason is that they want to be sure what to upload on their iPhones and the wider choices that it offers. But another major issue is that they want to be able to chose the network they want to use on their iphones. This is the reason that ever increasing number of iPhone users are going for jailbreak and forfeiting their warranties. Apple has said that a person who jailbreaks, the warranty of his iPhone becomes void.
